Harvard acknowledges limiting Indian and Asian student enrollment, as most every top university does to ensure diversity. Overlooked however is they also cap Northeast and West Coast enrollments in order to reserve opportunities for Mountain and Midwestern applicants.

The advocacy group Students for Fair Admissions says it will appeal the decision, which means the fate of race-conscious admissions could once again end up in the hands of the Supreme Court.
