It’s almost MOVIE TIME 🍿 🎥!
Bring your friends and family to the Pleasanton Community Center to watch the Disney movie SNOW BUDDIES! Showtime starts at 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 25th! Come have some refreshments and watch a great flick!

**Feel free to bring a blanket and/or your own chair. Showing is being hosted by the City of Pleasanton and the Linn County Children’s Coalition.

We can’t wait to see you at the movies! 🎞️

With the bad weather forecast for this weekend we have decided to postpone SNOW BUDDIES. Watch for a future date to be announced.

Carbon Monoxide and what you need to know

In 2025, the Linn County Rural Fire Department responded to 17 callouts dealing with carbon monoxide and, already in 2026, there has been at least one call to the Linn County Rural Fire Department for a carbon monoxide issue.

Early in the year, Linn County Rural Fire Chief Randy Hegwald and Assistant County Fire Chief Brian Shroyer responded to an alarm from ADT alarm services in early January at a home near Linn Valley. Luckily, it was a false alarm and they found no traces of carbon monoxide, but the resident there, Mike Ernst, was very appreciative of the fact that the county had come in to check his house thoroughly before pronouncing it clear.

“I am just very thankful that they offer that service,” said Ernst.
