New research says that SATURATED FATS may actually be good for you! But before you say, "more butter and cream cheese please" refer to this article written by Ronald Krauss,MD in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition. It was concluded in this study that people who consumed higher levels of saturated fat DID NOT have a higher risk of heart disease, stroke or any other form of CVD (cardio vascular disease). The research was based on an analysis of 21 published studies involving almost 350,000 people who were tracked from 5-23 years. For more details see health NOTES above.
