IV Scientific had the opportunity to spend the last two weeks in Juneau, AK supporting Operation ORCA 25 for the 103RD Civil Support Team and Aspects. IV Scientific brought up a lot of challenging targets for a multitude of agencies, including local responders (the Juneau Police Department, Capital City Fire Department, the City and Borough of Juneau, Juneau TSA, US Coast Guard, Tlingit and Haida), Alaska-based responders (716th EOD, NOAA, 103rd CST), and national response partners (6th WMD-CST (TX), 9th WMD-CST (CA) 34th WMD-CST (VA), 83rd WMD-CST (MT), 102nd WMD-CSTs, FBI, 10th HRF). Thanks for everyone who participated (sorry if I missed anyone), and thanks for allowing us to support your mission.

Last week, IV Scientific collaborated with New Mexico’s 64th Civil Support Team to conduct a two-day chemical and biological field training exercise. The team successfully executed their Mission Essential Tasks and Standard Operating Procedures during the event, including reconnaissance, site characterization, sampling, sample analysis, and emergency decontamination. Additionally, they successfully tested their HF communications capability during the exercise. We appreciate the opportunity to support your training requirements.

This week, IV Scientific conducted a multi-agency training event for the 6th (TX), 47th (MS), and 61st (AR) WMD-CSTs in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Our team provided the participants with a day of classroom-based Joint Hazard Assessment Team (JHAT) training, a day of JHAT operational exercises at AT&T Stadium, and an exercise day focusing on a multi-CST all-hazards response. It was exciting to see all the teams come together as a unified force to accomplish the mission and tasking they were given. Our team is grateful that we were able to support these CSTs with this critical part of their mission.

2024 was a great year for IV Scientific. As we look back on it, we want to thank all of the organizations that gave us the opportunity to work with them this year. We were able to work with a lot of familiar faces and we were able to meet even more new people and teams. As we close out this year, we are looking forward to what 2025 will bring for IV Scientific!
