not my preferred wake time or typical alarm but obviously way cuter

and yes… we have started co-sleeping on vacation as a special treat! we started doing this in the spring when our boys were 3 and 4 and both sleeping in beds.

we are super clear this is a very special, vacation privilege and will not continue at home. it’s not the best rest for my husband or I but it’s something the boys LOVE and we all look forward to.

plus it makes accommodations WAY easier as less beds are needed!

jump scare, but it’s your toddler.

if this is a nightly thing, it’s less about sleep and more about testing the boundary. the fix isn’t complicated, it’s just consistency.

prepare them before bedtime so they know what to expect— what happens if they get up, what the plan is, no surprises. then follow through the exact same way every single time. kids will push the boundary until they find out it isn’t moving.
