Today is TOUGH. I had some pretty big "T" ( t = trauma ) happen on Wednesday that has definitely taken my week / mindset off course. I am extremely fortunate to have the flexibility and the freedom to re-arrange my schedule to allow myself to move through these difficult emotions. However, it likely wouldn't be true if I were in a traditional 9-5 in corporate America. This entrepreneurial life isn't always easy (in fact most of the time I think I'm insane for still being here... ha!), but it's reasons like this that I will fight to maintain this way of life.

I am very grateful to have an incredible support system (which is new to me) and have recently gotten through with about a year or more of some pretty intense trauma therapy myself. Thankfully, that therapy literally re-wired my brain (which was astonishing to witness let alone continue to live out) and created SO MUCH SPACE for me which has translated into some incredible creative energy I never knew I would experience or be capable of. I realize how significantly my trauma was impacting my ability to show up in all areas of life. Specifically and likely most significantly - business. Trauma therapy gave me coping skills to be able to keep moving and showing up.

One thing I'd like to start speaking more about is what it means to be trauma informed in business. I don't have all the answers, I only have my own experience. But I am wanting to start conversations and bring to the table those who have more answers. Either way, it's important conversations I think there cannot be enough of. Especially in the state of the world and the collective trauma we are all experiencing.

Branding is so vital to your business success, and SO much more than just your logo! Branding encompasses your brand's visuals, messaging, values, mission, and much more. Creating a brand that is consistent will build trust with your potential clients and plays a key role in growing your business sales. Customers and clients buy from those they know, like and trust!

There is ALWAYS a way, we just have to be willing to get of our own way to see it. If we already knew how to get to where we were going, we'd be there! The truth is we don't know what it's going to take or how it's going to happen. All we can do is commit to showing up, keeping our eyes and ears open for hints, and be willing for it to look different than we imagine. Either we choose the difficult path by doing it our own way, or we can be open to hearing what's worked for those already where we want to be.
