I said what I said. Here’s the truth:
1️⃣ Community is fundamental right now. If you run it like a nice to have, marketing ad-on…people will feel it.
2️⃣ wellness like nutrition, training and recovery is a part of the business plan for founders. Building capacity and stress tolerance is huge. Also don’t underestimate looking and feeling the part.
3️⃣ there is no permission, you cannot wait in business. Business speed is unlike any other time. Use it to your advantage

Somewhere in the middle of rebuilding, something clicked.

The businesses I wanted to build weren’t separate from the life I wanted to live.

They had to support each other.

I realized I wasn’t the only founder trying to replace everything corporate quietly gives you:

• Structure
• Momentum
• Accountability
• Community

That realization eventually became Fit Founder Collective.

We’re building it because we needed it first.

And I’m building JETSET Jill because I want to document what that journey actually looks like.

Founder life.

Health.

Motherhood.

Travel.

Portland.

The wins.

The mistakes.

The real build.

My goal this 2nd half of 2026 is to be a lot more transparent in what it really takes as a founder and parent building businesses.

I had a lot of DMs over the last 2 years asking about how I manage building businesses while homeschooling my daughter with no paid help.

I’ve told you how amazing it is because wow the adventures and talks are the best. But sometimes the trade offs impacting my work blocks, the headaches and just complete exhaustion is overwhelming.

Now my husband and I are both managing my daughter so we try to coordinate work blocks for both of us 😬

I’m also trying to prioritize my health so yes it’s launch day. My husband is off in meetings, I have the kid for the day. I try to workout while she does lessons to earn a show on her iPad, she wants lunch early so I skip my upper body day (bummer trade off), we have a picnic in the driveway while watching the neighbor mow their lawn, we head to the gym so she can do kids club and I can get some work done in the sun before we go swimming together. And of course Dino outfit making after dinner.

Laying it all out there on the last two years as today is my parting anniversary. It has been a wild ride and it’s going to be getting even more wild!! 😝

Keep showing up. When it’s easy. When it’s hard. Especially when you don’t want to.
The blending of business, body, community and home life means not having to miss critical family moments. However, I have to work really intentionally to carve out time for myself.
