Tech Tip #7
Many people put their computer to sleep every day, but rarely restart it. While sleep mode is convenient, your computer still benefits from a full restart.

A good rule of thumb: Restart your computer at least once a week. If you use it every day, restarting every few days is even better.

Why does it matter? Restarting helps:
Finish installing Windows updates
Clear out temporary files and memory
Fix slow performance
Resolve minor software glitches
Keep drivers and security features running properly

If you go weeks or months without restarting, you might notice things like:
Windows updates not completing
Printers or Wi-Fi acting up
Bluetooth devices disconnecting
Programs freezing or becoming sluggish
Higher memory usage and slower performance
Audio or we**am issues during video calls

Think of it like giving your computer a fresh start. It only takes a couple of minutes and can solve a surprising number of everyday problems before they become bigger ones.

Tech Tip #6
Did you know? If you have a Windows computer, you probably already have antivirus protection built in. Microsoft Defender Antivirus (formerly Windows Defender) comes included with most Windows 10 and Windows 11 PCs and provides solid, real-time protection against viruses, malware, and other common threats.

For many people, Microsoft Defender is all they need—as long as they keep Windows updated, avoid suspicious downloads and links, and practice safe browsing habits. Independent testing organizations consistently rank it among the top antivirus programs.

While some users with specialized security needs may choose additional security software, for the average home user, the built-in protection is often more than enough. Save your money and focus on keeping your computer updated and using good online habits!

Tech tip of the Day #4
Did you know you can create unlimited variations of your Gmail address without making new accounts?

For example:
[email protected]
yourname+[email protected]
yourname+[email protected]
yourname+[email protected]

They all deliver to the same inbox.

Why use it?

Track who has your email. If you start getting spam sent to yourname+[email protected], you'll know it came from a shopping site where you used that address.

Organize your inbox. Gmail can automatically sort emails based on the text after the "+" so newsletters, receipts, or work-related messages can go into their own folders.

Just remember: Some websites don't allow the "+" character when creating an account, but Gmail itself fully supports it.

Tip of the Day #3
Do you have dogs, cats, or maybe a quickly shedding house roaming gecko that just wont stop talking?
If so you might need to clean your Desktop or Laptop

Tip of the Day #2

Scammers may call, email, or message you pretending to be from a well-known company like Microsoft, Amazon, or your internet provider. They'll claim you're owed a refund for a service or accidental charge.

They may ask you to log into your online banking or install remote access software so they can "process the refund." Then they'll make it look like they accidentally sent you too much money and pressure you to send the "extra" back. In reality, no refund was ever made—they're trying to steal your money.

Protect yourself:
+Never give strangers remote access to your computer.
+Don't log into your bank account while someone is on the phone telling you what to do.
+If you're unsure, hang up and contact the company directly using their official website or phone number.

Remember: Legitimate companies won't ask you to send money back to fix a refund mistake.

The video I have shared is from a man who does a phenomenal job not only explaining the scam but also preventing someone from being scammed . A helpful thing to remember is that it can often be embarrassing for the person who was scammed and as many of us are aware being scammed out of anything sucks.

Hey Friendly tip of the day #1

99 times out of 100 if it is to good to be true DONT BUY IT

here is a lovely example given to us from most certainty not Costco
as you can see in the second image if an email comes from someone that has a @ random jumble of letters email address do not trust them.

this is most likely going to lead you to a new page that will look similar to a log in for Costco and using this facade they will take your log in credentials.

Unfortunately we will all more then likely have to buy our own YETI Beach Lounge Wagon which isn't even a real product so good luck.

Stay safe my friends!!
