Marketing for therapists doesn't have to feel slimy.

But nobody really taught us how to do it any other way, and honestly? That's not your fault.

Most marketing advice was never designed for therapists and helpers. You were trained to listen deeply, build real trust, and put people first. So when someone tells you to manufacture urgency or use "psychological triggers" to get people to buy... of course that feels awful.

But here's what I know after 16 years in business: when someone who genuinely needs what you offer can't find you, that's not good for anyone. Marketing is simply how they find you. No manipulation required.

So let's start with the most basic question: what do you actually do, and who do you help? Ask yourself: how would I text this to a friend?

You've seen the cringy version. Maybe even written one. No judgment:

❌ "I utilize evidence-based, trauma-informed modalities to facilitate transformational healing journeys for neurodivergent individuals."
✅ "I work with adults with ADHD who never learned the tools they need to get to work on time."
One sounds like a brochure. One sounds like a human.
