Second-Half Collapse Dooms Bulldogs in 41–15 Loss.

The Marbury Bulldogs entered Thursday night's homecoming matchup against Charles Henderson undefeated at 6–0, but penalties, turnovers, and missed opportunities proved costly in a 41–15 loss to the Trojans.

Marbury carried a 15–13 advantage into halftime, but the second half belonged to Charles Henderson, which scored 28 unanswered points.

Penalties disrupted Marbury's offensive momentum throughout the game, including a touchdown that was called back because of holding. The Bulldogs struggled to overcome those mistakes as the Trojans pulled away.

Marbury falls to 6–1 and will look to regroup before traveling to Greenville on October 16.

For the first time in 34 years, the Marbury Bulldogs are 4–0.
Marbury reached the historic mark Friday night with a convincing 47–21 victory over the Tallassee Tigers at Marbury Stadium. The win gave the Bulldogs their first 4–0 start since 1992 and continued what has already become one of the program’s most memorable starts of the modern era.
The Bulldogs entered the game, having scored exactly 35 points in each of their first three victories. After a slower-than-usual start against Tallassee, Marbury’s offense found its rhythm and produced a season-high 47 points.

After a convincing 35–6 victory over Elmore County Friday night, the Bulldogs find themselves undefeated through the first three games of the season and off to one of the program’s strongest starts in recent years.

Marbury controlled the game on both sides of the ball. Putting 35 points on the board while its defense, led in part by Jamarco Hall, held Elmore County to just six points. The Bulldogs never allowed the Panthers to turn the game into a serious threat down the stretch.

There were signs early that this was the first game of the season. Marbury showed some of the miscues and first-game jitters that are often a part of opening night, but the Bulldogs still managed to take a 7-0 lead into halftime. Whatever early struggles Marbury may have experienced, they took control on the scoreboard after the break. Marbury scored 28 points in the second half and finished game 1 with a convincing 35-6 win over the Shelby County Wildcats.
Building off this win, Marbury will travel to Chilton County this Friday, August 28, 2026, to face Chilton County High School.
