Last week on "What do you want to know Wednesday?" we had an anonymous question submitted-

Question- How many do I claim on my w4 if I make 20.000 a year and married?

Answer- That all depends on what your spouse is claiming. A common problem with married couples is that they both claim married and too many dependents or allowance. I normally suggest that the lower income spouse claim Married and any children, then the higher income spouse claim Single and 1. It varies for each taxpayer and a lot has to do with other deductions and the disparity of income between spouses.
