This Sunday marks five months since Pine State Office Solutions opened, and I want to use the milestone to recognize someone who doesn’t get nearly enough attention.

Darren Mills.

When I decided to start Pine State, there were a million things I wasn’t sure about. One thing I knew pretty quickly was that if I was going to build the kind of company I wanted, I needed Darren beside me.

And five months later, I can say it pretty simply:

I couldn’t do this without him.

While I’m usually the one people see selling, delivering, quoting, posting on Facebook or running around doing whatever needs to be done, Darren is behind the scenes keeping our customers running.

Copiers. Printers. Computers. Surveillance systems. If it plugs in, has buttons, or makes strange noises… he can figure it out.

More importantly, he’s someone I trust completely.

We’ve taken on some pretty significant contracts in our first five months, and I wouldn’t have had the confidence to take some of them on without knowing Darren was there to handle the technical side. His knowledge and ability are a huge part of what allows Pine State to offer something I’m extremely proud of… dependable, LOCAL service.

Starting Pine State was a bet on myself, but building it has never been something I’ve done completely by myself.

Darren took a chance on Pine State too.

Five months later, we’ve got more customers, more contracts, a bigger building and more work than either of us probably expected this quickly.

And we’re having fun doing it.

Technology is great… until it doesn’t work. 😂

Our email provider had a major system failure today, so Pine State’s email has been down most of the day.

If you’ve emailed us and haven’t heard back, we’re not ignoring you — we just can’t see it!

Been a busy stretch for us.

We’ve recently installed new office furniture in both Espresso and Modern Elm, giving customers a couple of great options depending on whether they want a darker, traditional look or something lighter and more modern.

We’ve also been busy providing full service and maintenance on copiers throughout the area, keeping local businesses, schools, and organizations up and running without the long wait for out-of-area service.

Furniture, copiers, service, supplies, we’re proud to be a local option for all of it.

Another project in the books.

Pine State Office Solutions furnished 5 new offices and a 10-foot conference table with chairs early this morning in the heavy rain.

It’s been exciting to see the furniture side of the business continue to grow. From workstations and sit-to-stand desks to conference rooms and executive offices, we’re helping customers create spaces they’re proud to work in.

All assembled, installed, and ready for business 🤙🏻

When I started Pine State Office Solutions, I wasn’t sure what all my offerings would be.

Then a customer called looking for 8 new workstations with L-shaped sit-to-stand desks in Storm Grey, wanted them delivered and needed the installation phase completed over the weekend. We immediately started a partnership with Sunline Office out of Pennsylvania.

Over the past couple of days, we’ve done just that. 4 new work stations and the remaining 4 in the coming days.

A big thank you to everyone involved in making the project a success.

Pine State Office Solutions continues to grow, and we’re grateful for every customer who has trusted us along the way.

Now it’s time to finish the second half. I look forward to seeing it when it’s all finished.
