MDJ Electric, LLC was in the Avon area for work today and had to make a quick stop at Beanz & Co. Café. for a little snack! ☕️🥐

But this wasn’t just a random stop for us.

We already knew that BeanZ & Co. is an inclusive business that employs people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Their mission is to create meaningful employment opportunities and build a community where everyone belongs.

That really hits home for our family.

MDJ Electric is named after our four children and while we built this business for our whole family, a big part of why we chose to build something of our own was our son with disabilities and his future.

We think a lot about what adulthood, independence, meaningful work, and opportunity will look like for him someday. So supporting a local business that is already creating those opportunities for people with disabilities was something we absolutely wanted to do.

If you’re ever in Avon, Grab a coffee, breakfast, lunch, or something to take home. Support a small local business that is doing something bigger than just serving great food.

Today, MDJ Electric, LLC took a little break and brought the kids with us to grab some food.

If you’re in the area, definitely check them out! They have hot plates, cold plates, sandwiches, and plenty of food to grab on the go. 🥪🍽️

As a small business ourselves, we know firsthand how much hard work, time, dedication, and sacrifice goes into keeping a local business going. That’s why supporting the small businesses in our community really matters. Every meal, purchase, recommendation, review, and share makes a difference.

🎉 OUR NEW WEBSITE IS LIVE! ⚡️

We’re excited to officially launch the new MDJ Electric, LLC website!

After building MDJ Electric from the ground up, it feels pretty special to finally have a place that brings everything together who we are, the work we do, the projects we’ve completed, and the story behind our family-owned business.

For those who may remember, MDJ comes from the middle names of our four children. ❤️ What started as a dream for our family has grown into a business we’re incredibly proud of, and we’re excited to continue building it one project at a time.

We’re excited to share a couple important updates from MDJ Electric.

First, we want to let our customers know that we are now closed on Sundays so we can spend time with our family.
For any electrical emergencies, please call or text and we will respond as quickly as possible. All non-emergency calls, texts, and emails will be returned on the next business day.

Second, we are happy to announce that MDJ Electric’s official website is launching soon!!! This is something we’ve been working on and are excited to finally share with our friends, family, and customers. What a fantastic day at the Naugatuck Duck Race! 🦆💛

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our vendor booth, asked questions, shared your experiences, and supported our mission. We had the opportunity to connect with so many wonderful people.

Events like this are a great reminder of how valuable community connections are. We appreciate every person who took the time to stop and learn more about what we do.

It was also great seeing and supporting our local friends at The Big Dipper Ice Cream Parlour - Prospect today and Blueberry Cat Collectibles (sorry forgot to take photos) No matter where we run into them, we’re always happy to support our own. Small businesses are the heart of our community, and supporting one another helps keep our local communities strong.

A huge thank you to the organizers, volunteers, fellow vendors, and everyone who came out to support this amazing event. We are grateful to have been a part of such a fun day.
