That's the whole point.

The worker in this image isn't thinking about whether the crane operator above him can see him. He's thinking about the task in front of him. That's how it should be — because the Cygnus 360 is doing the visibility work for him.

1,075 construction workers died on the job in 2023 — the highest total since 2011.

Construction accounts for nearly 1 in 5 of all U.S. workplace fatalities — across every industry.

17% of fatal construction injuries are caused by struck-by events — workers hit by moving equipment, vehicles, or objects they never saw coming.

This is for the electrician who starts work before sunrise.

The road crew flagging traffic at 2am on an empty highway. The utility worker climbing a pole in the rain. The construction foreman who's been on job sites for 25 years.

These aren't abstract statistics to us. These are real people doing hard, dangerous work — in environments where heavy equipment moves around them constantly, where visibility is low, and where a single blind spot can change everything.

The hard hat hasn't fundamentally changed in decades. Everyone got comfortable with "good enough."

We didn't.

The Cygnus 360 was built specifically for the workers who can't afford for someone not to see them — because on a live job site, visibility isn't a feature. It's survival.

There's a reason we started Cygnus Safety Products.

Every year, construction workers — electricians, utility crews, road workers — are seriously injured or killed on job sites. Not because of carelessness. Because they couldn't be seen.

A worker focused on a task in front of them isn't watching what's behind them. A crane operator can't see someone in their blind spot. A truck driver doesn't know someone is standing three feet from their bumper.

The standard hard hat was designed to protect from what falls on you. We asked a different question: what if it could also protect you from what moves around you?

That's why we built the Cygnus 360.
