Ever since I was a little girl I knew I would find a way to build a business and enjoy my life at the same time.

I’m writing this as I just had my biggest month in business and I’m still trying to find new ways to connect with the people I know I can help.
Still trying to make more moves, know more people, find the right avenues that align with my spirit and also reality. Wahhhh! Everything feels saturated and the world often feels like it’s falling apart.

And also…I get to create my own life. This is the one we chose, right?! So I say we do things the way we want. Of course capitalism is capitalism but why not get creative with it?

“I can’t do last year again”
This, and all the other quotes here, are things I hear from my clients almost every single day and it obviously breaks my heart.
It’s so normal to feel this way and also, it doesn’t have to be like this!
We all deserve time with our friends, our partners, planting in the garden, having a drink on the patio, going away for a trip, learning a new hobby.
But I gotta tell you, you can’t do it alone.

If you think you can, I want you to tell me one single person who is succeeding all alone….because I haven’t met them.

I’m not saying I can solve all problems, but what I can do is help you improve the way your business is running, find the things that drain you, and build out a strategic plan to never have that year from hell again.

I’m here to empower you, help you, motivate you, and strategize with you - not save you. You have to understand that owning a business is hard work but YOU CAN DO IT! And when you build a life + a business with awareness and boundaries, it makes everything feel more doable.

We all have our titles. CEO, business owner, mom, daughter, partner, friend. But when all of that is stripped away, who are you?

I was so lucky to go on a yoga retreat this weekend with and one of my takeaways was how imperative it is for us to find meaning and joy in things outside of our businesses. When I think of the most stressed people I know, I notice that they are forgetting that their whole purpose isn’t just to be a business owner.

The interesting part of all of this is … the more time I take to nurture myself, the better my business becomes. I’m able to lead with more grounded energy. I’m able to process information without getting completely overwhelmed. My ability to deal with difficult situations and difficult people has skyrocketed.

I hear this every day… “If I step away nothing will get done” or “Nobody does it the way I do” or “No one can do it as fast as I can”. But the reality is that when you choose not to step away, you are also choosing to never have a break from your business and your brain can never take a break.

We are all much more layered and interesting than just being business owners. How can you search for more of that in your daily life?

I no longer believe that working all day every day is the key to success. you keep telling yourself that if you don’t keep working, everything is going to fall apart. I don’t understand everything about your business, but what I do understand is that taking care of yourself needs to be just as important to you as getting work done. If you want to be able to help people for years to come, you have to start with yourself. You don’t have to keep doing this alone.

Sometimes we outgrow our businesses… and the way we used to do it just doesn’t work anymore. And that’s hard. And that’s annoying.

But the only path to growth is by being brave, taking big risks, hiring the help you need to move forward, making big changes (one at a time if you can, okay?! :p) and knowing that you are safe to make mistakes along the way!
