I was recently at a board meeting, and it was clear that I wasn’t feeling well. When someone asked what was wrong, I shared that I had a headache. Without hesitation, the nurses in the room immediately jumped into action—one grabbed me a bottle of water while another brought me a couple of Tylenol.

No one had to ask them to help. Caring for others is simply who they are. That is the heart of a nurse. That is the heart of a servant.
