As stated on my website and explained in every class I have taught as well continue to teach, I'm a perpetual student in both martial arts and firearms training (always seeking knowledge and to pass on that knowledge). One thing (out of many) I've learned over the years/decades is that "there's shooting, and then there's shooting with a purpose."

Photo dump from yesterday’s Basic AR and Intermediate AR classes, great day passing on knowledge and watching students improve their skill sets as well as giving them challenging drills.

Demo of one of the drills In yesterday’s AR classes - borrowed from fellow instructor John Boyette of Trace Armory Group. One note to make, the “timer” target should be 5 rounds.

One of the drills we ran today at the Range, Missed 100 points clean by 2. First part of the drill is at 7 yards and aiming for the outlined T-box on the head, not from the draw just from low ready - I gaffed and shot 11 rounds. Then we got to 10 yards, fast as one can go from the draw 10 Rounds Center mass outlined Azone. A good baseline assessment to work on which I picked up from fellow instructor. Par time as I recall is 5 seconds or less.

Getting in the reps earlier today, IBX drill while not clean both times I did keep in the Advanced timeframe on the 2nd run - the other drill, The Lazarus, from another group my third run was my best (2.96 with HF 3.38). Lazarus Drill is at 7 yards, pistol holstered empty with slide forward and at the buzzer draw then load/charge pistol and fire two rounds (both A-zone hits).
