Really appreciate the kind words, Nicholas Coia!

What makes the journey meaningful is having people in your corner who believed in the vision before it became reality. Thank you for supporting us from the very beginning, for the conversations, encouragement, and for always challenging me to think bigger.

Proud to call you a friend and grateful to be on this journey together. Excited to keep building, growing, and making an impact alongside great people like you.

Had a great time presenting on *Rethinking Leadership* at the Tuscarawas Valley Safety Council today!

Leadership is not about titles. It is about influence, trust, and creating environments where people feel valued, heard, and empowered to grow. Grateful for the opportunity to share ideas and learn from so many great conversations throughout the day.

Afterwards, I made a stop at the world’s largest cuckoo clock because… why not? 😂

Also grabbed some excellent coffee from Collective Coffee in Sugarcreek to wrap up the afternoon.

Days like today are a great reminder that growth, connection, and a little fun along the way matter too.

I had the honor of keynoting the Portage County Safety Council’s 2026 Annual Safety Awards last Thursday! What an incredible afternoon celebrating the people and organizations committed to keeping others safe every single day. 🏆

This luncheon has always been one of my favorite events each year because there is something special about speaking at home. To give back to the community and safety culture that first helped shape you is deeply meaningful.

Safety is never just about compliance. It is about leadership, culture, accountability, and caring for people. Seeing so many dedicated professionals recognized for the impact they make was inspiring and encouraging for the future of our industry.

A sincere thank you to the Portage County Safety Council for the opportunity to share my message and celebrate alongside so many outstanding leaders.

If your organization is looking for a keynote speaker or leadership presentation focused on safety culture, leadership, and personal growth, message me today. I would be honored to work with your team.

Honored to have presented on “Rethinking Leadership” this morning at the Springfield/Clark County Safety Council. Grateful to The Greater Springfield Partnership for the invitation and the opportunity to share ideas around leadership, growth, and creating stronger workplaces and communities.

And for anyone in Springfield, I highly recommend stopping by Un Mundo Cafe afterward for an outstanding light roast coffee.

Thank you again to everyone who attended and contributed to a great morning.

I’ve noticed something lately about growth.

When I’m stressed, overwhelmed, or simply surviving, curiosity fades.
Life feels gray.
There’s no hunger to learn, no excitement to improve, no wonder in the small things.

But when I’m growing, everything changes.

There’s energy.
Gratitude.
Perspective.

Even challenges feel different. Work becomes less about pressure and more like solving an interesting puzzle. Conversations become richer. Small lessons become meaningful. Life feels alive again.

I see this in myself.
I see it in teams.
I see it in family and friends.

Growth is not just about achievement.
It is about staying awake to life.

The people who flourish are not the ones who avoid difficulty.
They are the ones who keep their curiosity alive through it.

✨ Maybe flourishing begins with a simple question:

What can this moment teach me?

Keep learning.
Keep wondering.
Keep growing.

Because when curiosity returns, color returns too. 🎨

To grow is to flourish!

🚀 Want to attract top talent? Take care of the talent you already have.

“Make happy those who are near, and those who are far will come.”

I saw this ancient proverb over dinner last night, and I could not help but think about how perfectly it applies to today’s workforce.

Every company wants to attract great talent.

But the strongest recruiting strategy is not a bigger careers page or louder employer branding.

It is how you treat the people already inside your walls.

People talk. 🗣️

They talk at dinner tables, group chats, conferences, sidelines, and coffee shops. They tell the truth about culture when leadership is not in the room.

And the numbers back it up. 📊

Roughly 50% to 85% of jobs are filled through networking, referrals, and word of mouth. One recent report found that half of job seekers discover opportunities through word of mouth, while another showed 54% of workers landed their role through personal or professional connections.

That means your employees are not just doing the work. They are shaping your reputation.

If your people feel valued, respected, challenged, and supported, others will hear about it. Strong cultures create magnets. Weak cultures create warnings. ⚠️

The best talent acquisition strategy may be surprisingly simple:

Take care of the people closest to you first. 🤝

The people far away will come.
