Two years in business, countless events, meetings, projects, and miles traveled across the great State of Texas… and I FINALLY got myself some branded polos! 😂✨

Huge thank you to Envy Designs Custom Apparel in Raymondville for bringing these to life!

But getting these made actually reminded me of something I’ve learned over the last two years: if you own a small business, you have to put yourself out there.

Brand yourself. Talk about what you do. Wear your logo. Show your work. Go to the event. Introduce yourself. Hand out the business card. Take the meeting. Make the connection.

When I started Strategic Spark RGV, I couldn’t have predicted all the places this little business would take me. What started primarily in social media management has grown into communications strategy, photography, event coverage, public information, consulting, nonprofit and government communications, and so much more.

And so much of that growth has come from simply showing up.

As small business owners, sometimes we spend so much time branding everyone else, serving our clients, and making sure their businesses and organizations look their best that we forget to invest in our own presence. Guilty! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Your brand isn’t just a logo or a polo. It’s your reputation. It’s the work you produce, the way you treat people, the relationships you build, and what people come to associate with your name when you walk into a room.

So here’s your reminder from someone who took TWO YEARS to finally order the polos! 😅

Get yourself out there. Let people know what you do. Be proud of what you’re building.

You never know which introduction, meeting, event, conversation, or mile down the road will lead to the next opportunity.

Now, at least when Strategic Spark RGV shows up, I finally look the part too. 😉✨

Today was my 33rd birthday! First I want to share how grateful I am to have spent my birthday working! I prayed for busy days like this! And I was pleasantly surprised to be met with cake as I wrapped up my work day with Willacy County! Thank y'all again for helping me celebrate! 🎉

I waited all day to post on my business page because I've been keeping a secret about where I've been the last 10 Thursdays! 🤫

I was beyond blessed to cross paths with Edgar Ruiz & Julian Alvarez of Lone Star National Bank back in July. What should have been a quick, one-off meeting blossomed into opportunity for myself to elevate.

10 weeks ago, I began the LSNB Advantage program in McAllen. I commuted an hour each way for this free opportunity that I am so glad I didn't pass up. The connections I've made & the education I gained far exceed any price you could have put on this program! I sacrificed my Thursday evenings, but I gained so much more!

I truly believed the LSNB Advantage has changed me as a person, but more importantly, as a business owner. It challenged my limits, it taught me valuable tools and made me reevaluate my business as a whole. I am a better businesswoman thanks to LSNB! 💗

As I wrap up this blessed day, I have to say thank you once again to my incredible support system and my amazing clients who have made Strategic Spark RGV what it is today! I cannot wait to see what's next! 👀
