Last night I saw a LinkedIn post about Claude being able to generate motion videos now...

So... under sub-optimal testing conditions, aka a potty-training toddler stabbing me with a pencil and kicking me in the shins, I decided to test it out.

And wow.

I was NOT disappointed.

After only 2 revisions, Claude and I created this beauty.

AI is wild.

For anyone concerned about what my tiny hacker is doing when he's not secretly booking meetings on my calendar… 😂

Meet Benjamin the Frog. 🐸

While we were on vacation, Anderson spent his downtime making pixel-art animations on my iPhone. Benjamin, the enemies, the movements—he created and animated the artwork himself.

When we got home, I realized he didn't just have a character. He had an entire game in his head.

So I sat down with him and did what I would do with an actual client: I interviewed him.

I asked him about 20 detailed questions to turn what was in his head into actual requirements.

And holy crap, the kid had answers. 😂

He explained that the corruption should begin almost imperceptibly in World 1 around Benjamin's pond and progressively spread through the environment. Trees become twisted. The water darkens. Enemies mutate. Even the music should become more distorted as the player realizes something is wrong.

The villain is Dark Matter. Benjamin starts with a stick, but it transforms into a sword for boss fights. He has three hearts and three lives, regular enemies take half a heart, bosses take a full heart, and there are checkpoints.

Then he started laying out the worlds: a dragonfly boss at the pond, underwater swimming and riding a turtle, a sky world where you ride a bird, mountain climbing, double jumping, a Dark Matter fortress in space, hidden items that require playing as Jessie…

This was not “Mom, make me a frog game.”

He had designed a game.

So we took his animations + his requirements, gave them to Claude, worked through the build and debugging, and I deployed the finished game on Vercel.

My 9-year-old has now officially shipped software. 😂

And THIS is the part of kids using AI that excites me.

AI didn't invent Benjamin.
AI didn't invent his world.
AI didn't decide how the game should work.

Anderson did.

AI gave him a way to turn something that previously would have stayed in his imagination into something the rest of us can actually play.

Yesterday he used technology to troll me...

Today he used it to ship a product.

A few days ago, someone filled out the booking form on my company website at 10 PM. At first I thought, "Awesome! Someone booked a call!"

The submission was… weird.

They entered MY name in the form.
They entered MY professional history.
They entered MY cell phone number.
This made no sense. Why would they put in my information to book the call?

I was baffled. I looked at my analytics. I thought it was a bot...or spam...

Someone who misunderstood the form?
Someone trying to book therapy?

Eventually, I gave up trying to solve it. But it was still driving me bonkers that I couldn't figure this out.

Fast forward to today.

My 9-year-old son walks into my office, snickering, and asks:

“So… did your 2:15 show up today?”

I stared at him.

Then it clicked.

HE BOOKED THE APPOINTMENT.

He'd been on his computer, which uses my Google account in Chrome, so autofill had helpfully supplied his little operation with **my professional information and phone number.**

This child filled out my company's booking form, scheduled himself a meeting with the CEO, waited DAYS, remembered the exact appointment time, and then came into my office to see if his prank had worked.

Meanwhile, I had completely forgotten about the mystery appointment and scheduled an actual interview for the same time. 😂

So, mystery solved.

The suspicious lead wasn't a bot.

It wasn't a confused prospect.

**The call was coming from inside the house.**

Founder lesson of the day: Your biggest cybersecurity threat may, in fact, be a fourth grader. 😂

WOW we have grown A LOT since we have launched! Not only has our own VR library expanded, but so has our product offering. The problem? Our website needed an update that better reflected who we are.

I started this project on Thursday. 9/3. As in a few days ago. I completely re wrote my copy, updated the ENTIRE website to better reflect our company, and LAUNCHED it by Saturday morning. I only had a minor hiccup with the backend configuration for about 15 minutes before we were smooth sailing again.

I added play features, because...well we love to teach AND play. I think that's such a fundamental element that gets dropped when we become adults...like when did we decided learning and training had to be BORING?

There is something incredibly special about walking into a brand-new private practice and feeling the heart behind it immediately. ❤️

This week, I had the opportunity to visit **Curious Roots**, founded by the wonderful Sarah, as she opens her doors in Sinking Spring.

As someone who has taken the entrepreneurial leap myself, I know firsthand that opening a business isn't just about creating a career—it's about creating a life. It's about building something that reflects your values, gives you flexibility for your family, and allows you to serve your community in the way you've always envisioned.

Sarah has created exactly that.

Curious Roots specializes in supporting individuals during life's transitions, neurodiversity, and provides care for ages 6+. She accepts a wide range of insurances and has built such a warm, cozy environment. Kids will instantly gravitate toward the thoughtfully placed fidgets and sensory tools, while adults will immediately feel at ease the moment they walk through the door.

Of course, I brought along my trusted advisor, Anderson, for the visit. We chose the photo with the silliest face because apparently obtaining a serious picture is no longer possible at this stage of parenting. 😂

It was also wonderful to unexpectedly run into Chloe from the Adalyn Rose Foundation and make meaningful connections with fellow therapists in our community. Days like these remind me how fortunate we are to be surrounded by so many passionate professionals dedicated to helping others.

Your people aren't forgetting their safety training because they're careless. They're forgetting it because of how it was built. 🧠

Most compliance training is designed to be delivered, not retained. A slide gets shown, a box gets checked, everyone moves on. Then six months later, when it actually matters, the knowledge isn't there. That's not a people problem. It's a design problem.

Three reasons training doesn't stick — and what fixes each:
🎯 It's passive. People remember what they do, not what they're shown. Practice beats slides every time.
🔒 It has no checkpoint. If someone can advance without proving they understood, you've documented attendance, not competence.
🌐 It's not realistic. Reality is unpredictable. Training that only shows the ideal case falls apart the moment the floor doesn't cooperate.

This morning's Q3 strategy meeting included our newest executive team member.

Meet our Chief Chaos Officer. 👔

At 2 years old, his leadership style consists primarily of:
✅ Asking difficult questions ("What's that?" x 847)
✅ Demanding immediate snacks during meetings
✅ Randomly closing my laptop at critical moments
✅ Keeping everyone humble

Building a company while raising young children isn't always polished. Some days it's team calls and product demos. Other days it's discussing growth projections while someone in a company t-shirt insists on sitting on your lap.

And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way.

Entrepreneurship is often portrayed as late nights, hustle culture, and endless grind. But for me, the "why" has always been much simpler: building something meaningful while showing my boys that it's possible to create, innovate, and pursue big ideas.

The days are long, the interruptions are frequent, and the board meetings occasionally involve graham crackers.

But these moments remind me exactly why we're building.

Now, if you'll excuse me, our Chief Chaos Officer has requested another budget review. 🚀
