The Redmond Farmers Market is excited to host the first Market Music Set of the season! Join us this Friday May 2nd to support local farms, makers and artists while enjoying live music by from 5pm-7pm.
Lane Weiss performs under the name, Joyful Lane Music. Joyful Lane Music offers music as a solo performance including guitar, guitalele, keyboards, vocals (and soon to be added, harp, bass, and alto saxophone). Lane’s musical roots lie deep in the San Francisco Bay Area music scene. Lane holds a BA in music and taught elementary and high school music for several years, the first 7 years were in Bend, Oregon!. Lane founded and played in bands (Main Street) and duo groups throughout Oregon in the 1980’s. Eventually, Lane became a school superintendent and retired from public school service after 42 years (he never left his passion for music or playing music for audiences young and old)! Lane currently plays music in a variety of venues throughout Central Oregon. Lane has performed music in a wide variety of styles and settings: classical, jazz (bebop and big band jazz), rock, folk, indie, blues, covers and originals. Currently, Lane performs covers (Neil Young, Jackson Browne, the Beatles, the Eagles, Bonnie Raitt, The Allman Brothers, James Taylor, Keb Mo, Robert Cray, and Crosby, Stills, and Nash, Eric Clapton) plus original songs he has written and composed. Lane seeks to provide the joy music can bring and looks forward to seeing you soon!
