AI is no longer a side project or hobby for software engineers. Today, it’s reshaping how leaders in Bellevue and Redmond think about growth.

But implementation isn’t happening in a vacuum.

The leaders I talk with are wrestling with more than just algorithms.

Tariffs keep supply chains unpredictable.

Culture shifts make adoption harder.

Talent retention feels like a moving target.

In my latest 90-second video-podcast, I share what local CEOs and business owners are doing to integrate AI into their organizations and the very real challenges they face along the way.

Curious to hear: what’s been the biggest barrier to AI adoption in your world: tech, culture, or talent?

AI is everywhere, and nowhere all at once. The ubiquity of AI has actually resulted in more harm to CEOs and Business Owners, than good. And, because AI is not as plug-n-play as many believe it to be, they are throwing new org charts, new Chief AI Officer titles, and throwing everything with the letter A and I against the wall to see if it sticks.

Unfortunately, it won't stick. Unless CEOs and Leaders begin to think different, and chart an independent and responsible path for AI, it's only going to do more harm.

Below we share how the most successful CEOs are implementing AI for the longterm success. Let me know what you think.

The #1 Growth Bottleneck for SMBs?

Most CEOs I speak with in the Seattle area aren't worried about the current slowdown in the marketplace. They're worried about themselves.

The biggest bottleneck isn't the economy, it's the leader's own time, clarity, and ability to actually think bigger.

HBR calls this the "CEO as Constraint" problem, where growth stalls, business is stagnant, and there is no clear plans for growth any time soon, and the problem is the business leader. Studies show that they're running their companies as if it were a 20-person company, when they've actually grown to 100 or 200-person company.

It's a mindset issue.

Jim Collins wrote in Good to Great: "The right leaders confront the brutal facts, but never lose faith."

Here's the brutal reality: Your leadership model may be the very thing keeping your company from reaching its next growth stage.

The CEOs who break through this barrier don't just manage harder, or spend more time. Instead, they set BOLD, HAIRY, AUDACIOUS Goals and learn to adapt their leadership to today.

"35+"
"1.2 Trillion"

What do these numbers have in common?

Tomorrow's "Friday 5 & Drive" will focus on the pitfalls of communications not because we don't know how to communicate, rather it's because we all believe we know how to communicate. This goes for the CEOs, Business Leaders, Admirals, and Presidents at organizations like the US Army to top corporations like Microsoft and Amazon.

It'll include the top traps and top tips on how to propel your business to the next stage of growth and prosperity through sound communication practices that you can apply in one day. I hope you find value in it. And, please do let me know your thoughts - good, bad, or indifferent.
