This week's interesting observation: On our local potassium rate trial, we compared before and one-year-after soil test data to see if we could spot a correlation in soil ppm changes across our 0–260 lb potash rates.

Resampling the exact same spots a year later gave us a nice correlation: it took roughly 9.8 lbs of potash to move soil test K up 1 ppm. Small dataset on one soil type? Definitely. But it's always great observing real field data that makes sense.

If you seen the earlier graphic on our Two Pass System vs No Application, you maybe thinking but what happens if you compare to a traditional R1 pass with a name brand fungicide? This is the result in 2025 on our farm between those two practices. A 6.1 bushel / acre advantage to use a generic with a stress mitigator twice vs a name brand once. How did that work out with costs? Call or message us to find out? 😉

What are the results when you have the right equipment, the right people, and the right products/system? A positive ROI! TOP Ag Services achieved 15.2 bushels per acre in 2025 on our farm testing our generic fungicide two pass program. The best part is; "it did not break the budget".
