When is covert protection actually the right tool?
Covert protection is often talked about as if it’s a simple solution —
blend in, stay back, stay unseen.
In reality, it’s one of the most misunderstood tools in executive protection.
In our latest What Would You Do? episode,
we break down when covert protection makes sense, when it doesn’t, and why using it by default can actually reduce protection rather than enhance it.
The conversation focuses on:
• The difference between covert and discreet protection
• Why true covert operations require more planning and manpower than most realize
• The tradeoffs between visibility, proximity, and control
• How client behavior, environment, and culture should drive the decision — not trends
Covert protection isn’t about looking invisible.
It’s about choosing the right tool for the right problem.

iPhone Privacy Pro Tip: Disable Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Scanning

You can stop your iPhone from secretly scanning for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth networks to track your location — even when those are “off.” How to disable it in iOS 26:

-Go to Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services
-Scroll down → tap System Services
-Turn off Networking & Wireless

This stops your phone from using nearby Wi-Fi or Bluetooth devices to pinpoint you — giving up a little location accuracy for a lot more privacy.

Bonus Tip: also turn off Alerts, In-App Web Browsing, Suggestions, Significant Locations, and Product Improvements for even tighter privacy.
