Personal Support Staff( Jacksonville Florida Area)

Do you love assists the developmentally disabled with their personal care needs. It can be an array of things which includes:
Assisting with Household chores
Assisting with Grocery Shopping
Assisting with personal care needs (ADL's)-bathing, grooming, hygiene, etc
Community inclusion activities
Transport/accompany to Doctor appts
Assist with laundry, etc

Education:
High School Diploma (or equivalent)
Some secondary school education

Qualifications:
Experience in developmental disability field or
Experience in Elderly care or
Experience in daycare or
Experience in medical field
CPR/First Aid certified or willing to be certified
HIV/Bloodborne pathogens certified or willing to be certified
APD (training)

Skills:
Excellent communication skills
Dependable
Experience with Computers/flashdrives (for documentation/notes)
Shows initiative
Solves problems effectively
Well organized
Works well with others
Able to lift patients if necessary

Must have valid driver's license and own reliable Transportation and pass a Local and National Background (FDLE) Check! We DO NOT reimburse for mileage, mileage is tax deductible!

2. Level II background check through Medicaid AHCA and APD (Finger Prints)
3. Local Law Enforcement Background Check (From the County you reside)
4. Zero Tolerance certificate
5. Direct Care Core Competencies Certificate
6. HIPAA certificate from ATTAIN Inc. or Train FL.( all of which could be obtained for free online)
7. Requirements for all waiver providers certificate
8. Professional experience verification
9.CPR & First Aid certificate
10.State ID

(Any out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed after 60 consecutive days of employment )
