My name may seem familiar as I am a life long resident of the Roanoke Valley. I have a career in social work/early childhood development for 20 years. Throughout my life I have used many different art forms/mediums and tools to help me manage the amount of trauma and mental health I personally worked through and helped others work through. Some of those mediums range from crocheting, sewing, paint
ing, poetry, puppetry, comedy and many more! Creating reminds me that there are endless possibilities despite my current circumstances and that things can always get better. My childhood was full of trauma due to my parents failed attempts to move past their trauma. I am here to help break cycles of trauma from abuse and poverty in this world. These patterns often manifest in our day to day and sometimes we don't even recognize it. I'm here to help shed some light and provide some resources and supports for you and your family as we work through and create new patterns of behavior and increase awareness. My greatest creation, Whinnie, is my why beyond myself. After having a daughter, she quickly became my inspiration for a better tomorrow personally with my mental health and for my community and our world. Nothing can really prepare you for parenthood. And once you're there everyone has an opinion on what you are to do. I decided to start this business because often time I have seen families needlessly suffer of have struggles that can be alleviated with some guidance, tools, and encouragement.
