So, I often get calls from Clients that something is on their screen or their computer is yelling at them and to call a number. well, it does happen to even me, as you can see by this picture. so what do you do?
1. if possible, learn about not running as an Administrator account.
2. when this comes up, if possible, enter task manager and stop the browser you are using. If not try and restart the computer. and log back in.
3. Once you have the Browser stopped or rebooted, open the browser and if prompted to restore your previous session, say no.
4. In the browser, go to settings and then find the local cache - you most likely can search for cache in settings.
5. Find the option to clear your cache, some browsers allow you to select from when date, I tend to pick all dates, and then let it clear the items.
6. Close and reopen the browser, if the "popup" reappears you may have to get some assistance.
Normally this takes care of it, as it did in my case this afternoon.
so you may ask how this happened? well in my case I mistyped a URL, and when the page opened it redirected to the one you see in the image and boom, I'm now doing a little more work.
