Kendra sent me several photos of the installed transom that I made for her and Darin. Thanks so much to Kendra for allowing me to make this for them and for sharing these photos. I know that we are all sooo pleased that this item made it all the way back to Nebraska with no mishaps!

Meet Joy, a woman with secret superpowers! Joy just finished a three day beginner stained glass class here at the Wizard Stained Glass Atelier. In this photo she is holding two of the three projects that she completed; a night light and a 12x12 window panel that she designed (and built) herself. She picked out some really beautiful glass for the project. You can't see it very well in the photo (bad photographer), but the white glass is iridescent and the "black" glass is actually a clear glass with black swirls. Thanks to Joy for letting me give her instructions on building stained glass projects!

My cousin Kendra and her husband, Darin, (pictured here) traveled down from Nebraska to pick up this window that they wanted for the transom above their front door. They asked for four hanging crystals in the panel to represent their four daughters. Pretty cool idea, huh? The panel measures about 63 x 12 inches and I forgot to count how many pieces of glass were installed, but you can see most of them in the photo, so go ahead and count them yourself! Don't miss the tiny pieces next to the central cluster! I haven't been spending a lot of time in the studio lately, so this project took about a month and a half longer than I had expected. Look forward to a future post of a photo of this panel installed in its new home. Many thanks to Kendra and Darin for allowing me to build this for their lovely home.

I love it when a customer sends me a photo of one of my stained glass items hanging in their window, but when a customer sends me three photos of THREE of my large windows hanging in THREE of their windows, I really have to post that on Facebook. Thanks so much to Susan for these purchases and for sharing the photos. Susan says that every time that she sits down to drink her coffee and gaze at her windows, she sees something different as the light changes! May you have many years of enjoyable light shows, Susan!
NOTE: I realize that I have previously posted photos of all three of these items, but not in their new home!

I delivered this 24 inch x 12 inch panel to Vicki and Paula yesterday. Paula had seen a previous window that I posted that had a red "S" laying down. Well, Paula wanted an upright "S" (her last initial) in a similar panel. This will be placed in a new window and I am eager to see a photo of the window in place. BTW, this was a birthday gift from Vicki to Paula. Happy Birthday Paula!

I'm kinda wondering if folks out there in FB Land are thinking that all of my window panels look like the same ol' same ol'. I reckon that there is a strong resemblance especially when I put an ornamental green glass dish in a lot of my windows - because I happen to like them - and because they have been selling (which is sorta the idea). This particular window has three crystals, each hanging in a void in the bottom panel. This gives the window a different look, especially when the light is hitting the crystals and they emit their prism effect. I put a single crystal in the previous window that I made and I liked the look enough that I upped the ante to three this time. Hmmm...maybe I will up the ante yet higher in one of the next windows! Anyway, this window measures 28 inches high by 23 inches wide and the top and bottom panel each measure 20 x 12 inches. This window has not yet sold and I will be taking it to The Copper Crown Antique Store for display. By the way, today I scored a pile of green glass plates, therefore you can expect to see more of them in future windows that I make.

I finished up this window on Saturday so I could take it up to the Copper Crown antique store to display, but dang it, it sold today! Oh well, I'll just have to start on the next one. Woe is me, there are perils of being a stained glass artist!
This old window frame measures about 27x20 inches and I did a new thing with the bottom panel by cutting a teardrop hole in some really gorgeous red glass and hanging a teardrop crystal in it. I like the effect and will probably do some more of this. I'll enjoy looking at it for the next few days until the new owner takes possession.

Today was Day 4 of a four day Intermediate Stained Glass Class that I instructed at Eureka Springs School of the Arts (ESSA) in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. Each of the students built a very impressive project and would have been given an "A+" if grades had been given. Photos are the three star pupils proudly holding their finished stained glass candle box of their own design. Each candle box has a bottom "box" that stands on four feet and has a removable top. We all had a fun time in the class and everyone (including the instructor) learned a few things. One of these students came all the way from Austin, Texas for this class at ESSA! The next class that I will be teaching at ESSA will be an Intermediate class where students will build a stained glass lamp (September 10-14, 2025)- as of earlier today, this class still has two seats open for students, so if you have basic stained glass skills and want to build a beautiful lamp, ya better sign up before these seats are filled! Check out these photos!
