I've been working on moving the wood processing operations to the new location in Dover. I put down gravel last week in the splitting area. Now, I have a new, improved log bucking table with a log feeder deck to increase efficiency.

Make sure you get your firewood before the winter storm hits this weekend. Zebra Firewood still has good, seasoned mix hardwood available for delivery to the Russellville and Dover area. We verify each batch is ready to burn by checking it with a digital moisture meter. If it's above 20%, we let it season a little longer before we sell it. When you buy from us, you get wood ready to burn.

If you are buying firewood, ask how they know it is ready to burn. Some folks will think wood is seasoned just because they cut the tree down last summer. Wood does not dry well until it is cut and split. If they just cut up the wood and split it last week, it is likely not ready to burn.
