✨ Meet the Makers Behind Generations in Stitches! ✨
Sewing has been passed down in our family for many generations, and we're proud to continue that tradition through three generations today.
🧵 Carol Nixon is from Sac City, Iowa, and has been sewing since high school. Over the years, she's made everything from clothing for her children to doll clothes for her great-granddaughter, along with countless quilts stitched with love for family, friends, and even strangers.
🧵 Candy King, also from Sac City, Iowa, started sewing in 5th grade after watching her mom, Carol, at the sewing machine. She quickly fell in love with sewing and made clothes for her daughters, Danielle and Sarah, when they were little.
🧵 Danielle Weitl is from Carroll, Iowa, and caught the sewing bug around age 6 with her little yarn-and-paper sewing machine. She continued sewing through school and developed a passion for quilting.
🧵 Sarah Carstens is from Lake View, Iowa, and discovered her love for quilting in middle school—spending plenty of Mom and Dad's money on fabric and quilting (sorry, Mom and Dad! 😂). She even designed and sewed her own senior prom dress.
What started generations ago has become a cherished family tradition. We are honored to carry on the love of sewing that has been passed from one generation to the next, quilting handmade quilts that we hope will be treasured for years to come.
Together, we're bringing our passion for quilting from Sac City, Carroll, and Lake View to every quilt we make.
