As I started my personal journey learning about emotional intelligence in 2020-2021, I had no idea God was really preparing me to receive revelation of living a life reflecting the fruits of the Spirit.

WHAT IS EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE?

According to Harvard Business School, “Emotional intelligence is defined as the ability to understand and manage your own emotions, as well as recognize and influence the emotions of those around you.”

This includes self-regulation, self-control, the ability to empathize with others, and this emotional skill (EI) “accounts for nearly 90 percent of what sets high performers apart from peers with similar technical skills and knowledge.” Wow, that’s a shocking statistic! 👏🏻👏🏻

There is much overlap between emotional intelligence and the fruits of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22).

Some of the most overlapping traits include self-control and patience.

In my quest for growing in 2020-2021, the Lord was preparing me to really grow spiritually as well.

Walk in the Spirit, as Paul says, and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh (Gal. 5:16).

Dedicating our son on Mothers Day, traveling to the South, and spending my days enclosed with family ❤️

I am so loving working as an independent contractor, being in charge of my own schedule, working remotely and part time.

I think we all try to be brave, bold, and beautiful.

The very unique and neat thing about that is intelligent design. We are created in G0d’s image. He is bold, beautiful, and brave. He gives us power through the blood of His s0n, Jesus, which through Him, we stand tall against any Goliath.

After being washed with the blood of the lamb, we are found pure and without blemish. White as snow, beautiful inside and out.

Stand and walk in the power of the one true living G0d, and you WILL become bold, brave, and beautiful. 🕊

Hi, I’m Caitlin.

I’m a mom of two boys, a wifey to a hardworking man, and as of 3 years ago when my first baby was born, a lame dog mom. 🐶 Lol, sorry Bear.

It’s been incredible to witness the complete breakdown of the social structures that we’ve grown up to believe were solid, unchanging foundations we relied on heavily to navigate through life.

Personally, though change is difficult (sometimes), I’ve loved it! Breaking free from the bo***ge of other’s opinions, from the pressure to conform by society, and seeing the veil fall, the complete undoing of these grand illusions put on by institutions that claim to care about us....not really caring about us. Wow.

Getting through high school, then college, then grad school, then marriage and working and having children...

Then a pandemic, and now....here we are in 2022, most of us changing and waking up to our inner child, uncovering truths we didn’t have the eyes to see two years ago...

Standing up for our beliefs without fear of what other’s have to say. It’s so empowering! 💪🏻

We can do whatever we feel we need to in this life to provide for our family, create community, and rely on our faith to guide us.

Though C0v/d was detrimental for some, there has been beauty in the new way of living, forcing people to dig deep for strength and grow in ways that may have never been realized otherwise.

I love my family, and I know where we are going next ♥️

Are you currently living the life you actually want, or still feeling stuck working the same job that’s unfulfilling and not getting you closer to your personal and/or professional goals?

I think it’s pretty clear based on the last two years that we can’t rely on anybody but our very own self to achieve anything, or improve our situation.

The government can’t get us our dream job, or be there in every way we need them. Our friends and spouses sometimes don’t understand what’s going on in our mind....but WE know our goals, our ambitions, and our dreams.

And God knows our heart, too.

So pray about your dreams and goals, and ask God to show you what He wants you to do, and which next step you need to take.

THAT is the only clarity we can count on in these dark times, and to stand tall and be the light 💡 for ourselves and others who will need us, when they don’t even realize it.

Change up your routine and start pursuing what it is you want.
