Virtual Workshop (11.09.21) ~ Our thanks to the Consumer Attorneys of San Diego Women's Caucus for inviting Jennifer Forester to speak about how to use LinkedIn to bring your professional story to life.

📸 A portion of our workshop will focus on the Professional Headshot with tips for making the most of your photography session and ways to optimize your profile photo and banner images on LinkedIn. In the coming weeks, CASD will host an in-person mixer with a photographer on-site to help members refresh their professional portraits.

C-Suiter Jennifer Forester will be hosting another LinkedIn workshop for the ABA Section of Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Joint Law Practice Management Group.

This workshop is all about using LinkedIn to connect, reconnect, and stay meaningfully connected to your ideal audiences. Attendees will learn a simplified plan for engagement on the platform and practical ways to take conversations offline. We’ll cover the newest controls to customize your feed and how to surface the content that matters most. With a mindful approach, lawyers can transform LinkedIn into an efficient business networking tool.

Group and Committee conference calls are a complimentary benefit of Section membership and normally are limited to Section members. We have a new workshop for on ethics, etiquette, and minding manners on . Here are the highlights:

✔️ In California, beware of certain words on your profile, including "expert" and "specialist" (unless you are, in fact, a bar-certified specialist).

✔️ Cull the Skills & Endorsements section of your profile. Don't accidentally misrepresent your areas of knowledge.

✔️ Watch the language you use in the Honors & Awards section; you are not "A Super Lawyer," you were selected for inclusion or listed in...

✔️ Maintain decorum and consider the impact of taking sides in comments and posts.

✔️ Use hashtags responsibly. Add Alt-Text to images for accessibility. Consider how emojis could be interpreted.

✔️ Accept Invitations with care. Your Connections are a reflection of you, your values, and your circle of influence.

✔️ Don't Post & Ghost. Keep tabs on any Comments added to your posts and respond in a timely way. More conversations mean more views, and it's just polite.
