I’ve been rebuilding, healing, growing, and becoming the woman God is shaping me to be. Creating, celebrating myself, chasing dreams, and momming through the chaos.
This season is grace, growth, and finding my flow again, and I’m finally ready to step back into it. I’m back, aligned and ready to pour into this community. Stay tuned… a new chapter is starting, and I’m taking you with me.

💋Kissing 2021 GoodBye✌🏾

2021 was a pretty wild roller coaster ride. There were points where I had so much fun, hands up enjoying the ride. There were times where I was ducking in the seat wishing it was over. There were times where I was caught off guard trying to figure out where all the twist, turns, and sudden drops came from. There were things I did right and things I did wrong…but every moment was a lesson learned. My favorite part about 2021 was realizing that God has purposed me for greatness and He has truly blessed me with the ability to do things that some people simply can’t. I use to downplay my accomplishments, I genuinely believed the things I accomplished weren’t that big of a deal and I thought If I can do it anyone can…I realized that’s not true. People can’t do everything I do or handle everything I can handle. So in 2022…y’all are about to see all of these accomplishments…cause I’m done downplaying them 💁🏾‍♀️ when you see them just remember…I worked hard for them. I’ve been an entrepreneur for over a decade, I’ve failed, I’ve succeeded, I’ve struggled…but I never gave up. I use to feel like I didn’t want to share certain things because I didn’t want other people to feel bad or feel like they aren’t doing enough. Well…I also realized that’s not my problem…lol.. This year is dedicated to FOCUS…focusing on my accomplishments, bettering myself, my relationship with God, my relationships with people, and my relationships with airlines 😂 cause I’m going to catch these flights in 2022 too ✈️

What’s your favorite thing about YOU??? 👇🏾👇🏾👇🏾
One thing about me and my friends we always ask each other thought provoking questions…conversation starters. One of the questions last week was what do you like most about yourself…so here are 2 FUN FACTS (I guess)…
1. I literally believe I can do anything I want to do. If I say I’m going to do it, if I say I’m going to accomplish it…you better believe it’s going to get done. I’ve faced tons of roadblocks and adversity but one thing about me…those things don’t stop me 🤷🏾‍♀️
2. I don’t expect things to be easy. Therefore, there aren’t too many things that I find extremely hard (I actually can’t think of any right now). Are things always easy? Nope…not at all. Do I get annoyed sometimes…yup…probably more than the average person (if eye rolling was an Olympic sport your girl would take home the Win). When most people are looking for a way out or on the brink of quitting I’m still looking for a solution. Just because things don’t come easy doesn’t mean they aren’t meant to be. That’s going to go over some of y’all heads….but read it again! Society has some of y’all thinking if things don’t fall in your lap or if there is resistance, it’s too hard and not for you. 🙃

I’m really camera shy when I know someone is recording for professional use 😂
In the first pic when the lights came on I was like oh my goodness 😂 I immediately started sweating 😥 Thankfully and Keon were amazing to work with so it made it much better! And the video came out 🔥
2nd pic me, , and were recording videos for and I literally froze every time Jo signaled me to start. Like literally like a deer in headlights. —->😳😂 I’m actually very good at interviewing people so once I get past this weird stage I’m good lol
Moral of the story, the final product always comes out 🔥 but the ex*****on is sometimes a little...interesting 😂 push past your fears, awkward moments, etc. JUST GO FOR IT! Do it scared!
Last thing, people always make comments like “I’m not you or I can’t do what you do” 🙄😒 only difference between you and I is I do it scared and so can you. 🤪

Entrepreneurship is the best thing I’ve ever decided to pursue but I’d be lying if I told y’all it was easy. Its not easy at all but it’s very rewarding and fun but ghetto at the same time 😂 This picture was taken on Saturday after participated in a vending event and let me tell y’all how exhausted, tired, over it, frustrated, and annoyed I was leading up to this day. Most of the time people like to show the glitz and the glamour of entrepreneurship but what they don’t show or tell you is the struggle. Somedays you’ll make a lot of 💰while other days you won’t 🤷🏾‍♀️. Sometimes your systems will work for you and the next thing you know you have to change them. One minute you feel like you’re on a high and everything is on the up and up and then BOOM something crazy happens and your head starts spinning. Today your employees or independent contractors might be on their A game and the next day they might go missing. One event you may have 100 people the next you may have 5. Sometimes you have no idea what your days will be like. I say all this to say, don’t let social media fool you, this takes work, patience, optimism, money, the ability to look at “failures” as lessons, etc. So if you’re an entrepreneur don’t be so hard on yourself (I’m talking to myself too) we are all or have all faced the same or similar struggles. Just keep going, in the end you will win as long as you push through and don’t give up! If you’re someone who is considering entrepreneurship I’m here to tell you, don’t let these people online trick you into thinking success happens overnight. Nothing comes instantly, trust YOUR process! Heavy on the YOUR because it’s very easy to compare your business to others...don’t fall into the trap!

How I look when the💡goes off after finding yet another solution to a problem or having a brilliant idea. We all have things that sets us apart from other people...I like it call it our superpower. My superpower is looking at roadblocks as opportunities. So let me tell y’all a quick story...
I wanted to have a soft launch on my birthday, Dec 28th in my coffee truck. The soft launch was going to be a time where my staff and I would get acclimated to working in our truck. Then in January we would be all ready to go and ready to open for our official launch! Well...December came and went...1. Our crowdfunding campaign wasn’t fully funded (but what we raised helped A LOT) 2. The food truck build out was delayed due to COVID.
So...I thought to myself...what can I do to still launch even though the truck isn’t ready yet. Oh and due to COVID everything was shutting down so I really was like 🥴And BOOM...it hit me...do a soft launch and create a coffee and tea tasting. 😁 Let people taste your product! This is a great way to collect data and STILL prepare for the official launch.
After that idea came, I ran with it. I found a venue and started planning (with my team of course). Then I thought 🤔 hmmm...why not do pop up shops until the truck is ready. More info to come on this 👀👀
I can’t wait to share with you all everything that we have planned for The Grind House.
I say all this to say, things don’t always happen the way you think they will or the way you think they should. Focus on the end result and come up with a solution that will still get you to your goal even if it takes a little longer.
