St. Peter Area Chamber

What an amazing day, and week actually, on the Gustavus Adolphus College campus! Homecoming and the Fall Festival at the Arboretum really showcased the community. The Gusties football team notched an awesome victory today. Nobel Conference ushered folks from far and wide to Saint Peter on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thank you to the Saint Peter Volleyball community for hosting a youth tournament in town this weekend. You bring a lot of peeps to the motels and shopping and dining scene! (Photo shows action at the community center on Saturday morning.)

We are very happily up to our eyeballs in the turned-in Girls Day Out forms at the Chamber. Getting stickers from all the businesses were Stacey Michels, Kaitlin Michels (Kanten) and Lisa Schilling. Reaching pretty much all places were Lisa Himmelman, Sheila Anderson and Graciella Leal. The American Legion was the top forms-drop-off spot with 61, and the Chamber was next with 53. Once all the forms are turned in, we will report the total number (total number of passports turned in was 614) and number of places the ladies were from (46, including the five states of Minnesota, Iowa, South Dakota, Florida and New Hampshire so far). The live Facebook drawing for more than $1000 in prizes is Tuesday, October 6. We are taking steps to be sure to have all the forms collected and included in the drawing. THANK YOU to everyone who had a hand in 2026 Girls Day Out. It is a total blast!
