🏁 LADIES AND GENTLEMEN...START YOUR ENGINES!!! 🏁

Okay, friends. I have been waiting to share this one!!!!

While Jason and the AOD Auto Care Group crew are packing and preparing to head to Monterey on Monday, as Car Week gets underway and the Monterey Peninsula starts filling up with automotive events, activations, historic racing, auctions, incredible brands, and some absolutely ridiculous vehicles...

I have been doing what I do best...building backstage. 🤩

And TODAY, the brand-new AOD website is LIVE!!!! 🎉🏎️💻

Jason gave me the assets, walked me through his vision for AOD and where he wants the company to go, and then gave me a whole lot of creative freedom to figure out how we translated all of that into their new website.

Which is pretty much my favorite kind of assignment. 😏

So for the past few weeks I have been buried in copy, gorgeous car photos, page layouts, buttons, videos, mobile formatting, custom code, links, slugs, and all the tiny little details that nobody notices unless they are wrong. 😂

Today I finally get to look at the finished thing and say...

I BUILT THAT!!!! 🥳

I wanted the site to feel like AOD. I wanted it to show the sophistication of the brands they work with, the level of detail their team brings to the job, and the enormous amount of work that happens before those vehicles ever show up looking flawless in public.

And I am really freaking proud of where we landed!!!

Jason, thank you for trusting me with this and basically handing me the creative keys to the car. 🏎️😂

If I had a dollar for every time I have heard “I need a Misty,” I would have a lot of dollars. 💰

The best referrals usually come from some version of that same little phrase: “You need a Misty.”

And it almost always shows up when the business has more moving parts than someone’s optimism budget allowed for.

The warm lead is waiting. The speaker kit has too many versions. The organizer needs the bio, headshot, intro, AV notes, travel details, and W9. The follow-up was supposed to happen, but then the next opportunity started asking for things too. 🫠

The opportunity is shiny and fabulous ✨, but the backend is not acting like it.

That is where I live.

I support speakers, emcees, and event-based brands with the strategic operational partnership that keeps the work ready for the rooms it is trying to get into.

Because being booked is not the finish line. The business has to be able to hold what it asked for.

So the next time the follow-up gets missed, the logistics get wobbly, or the opportunity starts asking for more than your current backend can carry, ask the better question:

The only thing I love more than receiving a surprise is being the surprise.

And this one was so good.

Recently, I got to walk into a room where two women I support were already doing extraordinary work.

Quinn Conyers was doing what Quinn does best: lighting up the room with presence, polish, and purpose.

Ernisha Hall was doing what Ernisha does best: connecting people, moving the mission forward, and somehow making visionary work look effortless even when you know there are a thousand things happening behind the scenes.

And then I got to pop in as the surprise.

There was a scream.

There was a run.

There was a hug.

There was one of those laughs you feel in your whole body.

It was joyful, ridiculous in the best way, and honestly, such a beautiful confirmation.

I watched two women I support do extraordinary work in the same room, and it reminded me that I am building the right kind of business with the right kind of people.

Yes, the systems matter.

The emails, calendars, contracts, workflows, follow-ups, and logistics matter.

But the people matter too.

The relationships matter.

And sometimes you end up in a room that reminds you exactly why you kept going.

This was one of those rooms.

Misty Mae Enterprises has officially made it through the terrible twos, and the birthday present I am giving her is simple:

More of the woman behind all this Backstage Brilliance.

So, hi, friend. Allow me to reintroduce myself...I’m Misty Mae, a Creative Strategy and Systems Consultant. I support emcees, keynote speakers, and event-based brands by building the Backstage Brilliance that allows them to shine center stage.

I see the big idea, but I also see the missing pieces. I see where the process is clunky, where the founder is carrying too much, where the business is asking for more support, and where the right strategy, systems, and structure could make everything feel a whole lot lighter.

Basically, I make sure the business behind the spotlight is strong enough to support the people standing in it.

This business has stretched me, surprised me, challenged me, and taught me more about myself than I ever expected...like I have a whole assistant and everything!!!!

And now, I am ready to stop hiding behind the work quite so much.

Is this the most polished video I have ever made? No.

But I made it. I edited it. I showed up as myself in it. And that feels pretty damn good...cringe vibes and all!

That is the energy I am carrying into this next year. 💜
