I first started working with these buyers back in January, helping them search for the right cruising sailboat to fit the life they were working toward. We actually went under contract on a completely different boat first, but sometimes the journey to the right boat takes a few turns.

That journey ultimately led us to this Caliber 47 LRC — and now they’ve officially closed!

More than just buying a boat, this is a big goal achieved for them and the beginning of an exciting new chapter enjoying the cruising lifestyle they’ve been planning for. I’m grateful I got to be a small part of helping make that happen.

Sometimes hauling a boat isn’t as simple as “lift and go.”

Every boat has different underwater geometry, weight distribution, running gear, and structural considerations. Sometimes that means the yard needs to stop and adjust the travel-lift slings to make sure the boat is properly supported and can be hauled safely.

It may take a few extra minutes—but when thousands of pounds of boat are hanging in the air, getting the sling placement right matters.
