The Ability to Know Whether a New Offer Really Belongs in Your Business
One of the most useful skills you can develop as a business owner is knowing the difference between:
"This is a good idea."
and
"This is a good idea for my business."
Those are not always the same thing.
You may attend an event, hear about a new service, watch someone else having success with an offer, or have a customer suggest something you could easily provide.
And your first thought may be:
"I could do that."
You probably could.
But before you turn another idea into another offer, ask a few better questions.
Does this fit what I'm especially good at?
Does it make sense for the people I actually want to serve?
Does it strengthen what I want my business to be known for?
Does it fit the way I want to spend my time?
And most importantly, does it move my business in the direction I actually want it to go?
Alignment is not about turning down every new opportunity.
It's about developing the ability to recognize which opportunities belong in your business and which ones are simply interesting.
That distinction can save you from building a business full of good ideas that don't belong together.
