Volunteers needed for Zero Waste Salem's FREE Swap 'N' Drop on Salem Common! Event is Saturday, June 6 from 10:00 - 1:00 (rain date June 13).

Shifts are 9:00-11:00 and/or 11:00-1:30.

We would love your help to: set up tarps and signage, greet attendees, and help carry/organize items. At 1pm, we load leftovers onto the ReSupply truck.

NOTE: City policy requires volunteers for City events to complete a CORI (background check). We will need to initiate this on Monday, June 1.

At our May Repair Cafe, we hosted a lively Intro to Sewing workshop, welcomed a new volunteer sewer, and were thrilled to repair a 120-year-old lamp, an heirloom from the owner's grandmother! Fixing is fun, sustainable, and might even help preserve your family history.

The City of Salem has formed a new partnership with the Great American Rain Barrel Company (TGARBC), based right here in Massachusetts, to provide rain barrels to Salem residents.

Due to the Memorial Day holiday, there will be no trash or recycling pickup on Monday, May 25. Trash and recycling service will be delayed one day all week. It is a green recycling week.
