Styrofoam Recycling Collection is coming up THIS SATURDAY! Bring white, crumbly (not squishy) foam to recycle. We're taking string lights & extension cords, too! Remember that Styrofoam cannot go in our curbside totes and, outside of special events like this one, should be trashed. Let's fill the truck this weekend!

Due to a truck breakdown, a part of Friday's trash route (highlighted in bright yellow) is delayed for pickup until tomorrow, Saturday, June 13. Please leave totes out for recovery.

Saturday's Swap 'N' Drop gave us great weather, amazing donations, and lots of happy swappers beaming with their cool new finds in hand! Whether practical and reliable, high-tech and technological, classic and fancy, or just plain fun and colorful, swappers found it all. While some attendees shared that they were bringing home just the thing they were looking for, others took home surprise treasures. A huge thank you to all volunteers and participants and we'll see you again next June!

What do popsicle boxes, frozen pizza boxes, and butter boxes have in common? The cardboard is coated to help it be leak resistant...and therefore, these boxes are not recyclable. Frozen food boxes go in the trash, https://recyclesmartma.org/results-materials/ #!rc-page=296205.

The forecast is looking good for this Saturday's Zero Waste Salem's FREE Swap 'N' Drop!

And we're still looking for 4-5 more volunteers to make this event a success! Will you volunteer two hours to help organize the donations?
