Okay, y’all… THIS is one of those stores where you might have to come find me because I could literally walk around FOREVER. 😂💙

The Container Store is genuinely one of my FAVORITE places to go. Walking through and seeing all the different organizing, storage, and household products makes my little organizer heart SO HAPPY. 🥹

And the funny thing is—I don’t even have to buy anything!

Sometimes I just walk around looking at different products and thinking, “Oooooh, I could use THAT for…” 👀😂

It gets my creative juices flowing because organizing products don’t always have to be used exactly how they’re advertised. Sometimes I’ll see one item and immediately think of 3 different ways it could help solve a client’s organizing problem.

In honor of National Beard Day, let’s talk about something the bearded men—and the women who share bathroom counters with them 😂—can appreciate:

BEARD GROOMING ORGANIZATION!

Beard oil, balm, brushes, combs, trimmers, guards, razors, scissors… those little grooming products can create BIG bathroom clutter when they don’t have a designated home.

🧔🏾 FOR THE MEN: Keep Your Beard Game Organized

✨ Create a Beard Station: Keep your everyday products together in one designated area instead of spread across the sink, drawers, and cabinets.

✨ Use a Small Tray or Caddy: Store your beard oil, balm, comb, and brush together so your daily routine is grab-and-go.

✨ Contain Those Trimmer Guards: Use a small divided container or labeled pouch so you’re not searching for the right guard every time you trim.

✨ Separate Daily vs. Occasional Products: Keep everyday essentials accessible and backups or specialty products tucked away.

✨ Check Your Products: Toss empty bottles, broken tools, old razors, and products you KNOW you aren’t using. 👀

💙 FOR THE GIRLFRIENDS & WIVES:

✨ TIDY TUESDAY: BIRTHDAY MONTH TRANSFORMATION ✨

September is my birthday month! 🎉💙 In honor of celebrating another year around the sun, I’m spending this month looking back at some of my FAVORITE client transformations.

Today’s spotlight: THE CRAFT ROOM! ✂️🎨✨

This client had everything a creative heart could want—from beautiful paper and Cricut materials to crafting tools, supplies, accessories, and everything in between.

The problem wasn’t having too much creativity. The problem was that everything needed a HOME. 🏡

So that’s exactly what we created!

We sorted through her supplies, grouped similar items together, created designated spaces, and developed a system that made it easier for her to see what she had, find what she needed, and actually ENJOY her craft room.

Because what good is having the perfect paper or Cricut material for a project if you can’t find it when inspiration hits? 😂

One thing I always tell my clients: organization isn’t just about making a space look pretty. It’s about creating a system that makes sense for YOU.

✨ Paper had a place.
✨ Cricut materials had a place.
✨ Tools had a place.
✨ Supplies became easier to find.
✨ And the room became functional again!

That’s what I love about transformations like this. We didn’t take away her creativity—we created a space where her creativity could THRIVE. 💙

As I prepare to celebrate another trip around the sun, I’ve been thinking about how much can change in a year—not only personally, but in business too.

💜🤯 MONDAY MADNESS: ORGANIZING MYTH BUSTERS! 🤯💜

Happy Monday, Organized Chaos family! Today we're busting a few home organizing myths—starting with one I see ALL the time! 👀

🚫 MYTH #1: “I need to buy bins before I start organizing.”

BUSTED! 💥

Those pretty bins might be calling your name, but buying storage BEFORE decluttering can actually create more clutter.

Why?

Because you haven't decided what you're keeping yet!

You could end up buying:
📦 Too many containers
📦 The wrong sizes
📦 Storage that doesn't fit your space
📦 Bins for things you don't even need

Instead, follow this order:

✨ DECLUTTER → CATEGORIZE → MEASURE → BUY → ORGANIZE

First decide what's staying. Group similar items together. Measure your available space. THEN choose storage that actually solves the problem.

🚫 MYTH #2: “If it's in a bin, it's organized.”

Not necessarily! 😂

Putting random items into a container just creates organized-looking clutter.

Bins should have a purpose and category—not become another place to hide things.

🚫 MYTH #3: “I need to organize my whole house at once.”

Absolutely NOT!

Start with one drawer, one cabinet, one closet, or one category. Small wins create momentum without overwhelming you.

🚫 MYTH #4: “Once I organize it, I'm done.”

Organization requires maintenance!

Life happens. Things get used, schedules change, and our needs change. A quick weekly or monthly reset keeps your systems working.

Organization isn't about how many matching bins you own.

We focused on our personal spaces—getting rid of expired or unused products, giving hair appliances a home, keeping surfaces clear, and starting seasonal clothing rotations.

🐶 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY — NATIONAL DOG DAY
Our pups deserve organized spaces too! We talked about doggy stations, toy storage, feeding areas, pet records, and routines that make caring for our furry family members easier.

💭 THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY — CLUTTER = DELAYED DECISIONS
Sometimes clutter is simply a decision we keep putting off. Instead of moving it around, decide: KEEP, DONATE, TRASH/RECYCLE, or ACTION.

It's Find Out Friday, and this week we're switching things up with an ONLINE Store Spotlight—AMAZON! 📱✨

One thing about Amazon…if you're looking for an organizing solution, there are probably 500 versions of it. 😂

There are SO many options available, so today I'm just sharing a few of MY FAVORITE FINDS that can help maximize space and give everyday items a designated home.

🌶️ SPICE DRAWER ORGANIZER
If your spices are taking over a cabinet, try moving them into a drawer! A tiered organizer keeps your jars visible and makes it easier to grab exactly what you need.

🧴 2-TIER UNDER-SINK ORGANIZERS
That space underneath the kitchen or bathroom sink can get chaotic FAST. Sliding drawers help utilize vertical space while keeping cleaning products, toiletries, and other supplies accessible.

👖 SPACE-SAVING LEGGING/PANTS HANGERS
Closet running out of room? These multi-clip hangers allow several pairs of leggings or pants to hang vertically while taking up less rod space. 🙌🏾

🧹 WALL-MOUNTED BROOM & TOOL HOLDER
Get those brooms, mops, rakes, and other long-handled tools OFF the floor! Wall-mounted holders are great for laundry rooms, utility closets, garages, and sheds.

Amazon has countless sizes, styles, colors, brands, and price points available. You don't need the exact product I recommend to create an organized space.

Before purchasing, think about:

🙌🏾 Will it make the space easier to maintain?

Because buying organizers doesn't automatically make us organized. 👀😂

💜💭 THOUGHTFUL THURSDAY: SOMETIMES CLUTTER IS A DELAYED DECISION 💭💜

Have you ever looked at a pile of stuff and thought, “How did all of THIS get here?” 😩

Sometimes clutter isn't about being messy or unorganized. Sometimes it's simply a collection of decisions we haven't made yet.

📬 I'll go through that mail later.
👚 I might wear that again.
📦 I don't know where this belongs.
🧴 I might use this someday.

One delayed decision doesn't seem like much—but when those decisions pile up, so does the clutter.

So today, let's practice making QUICK decisions! 🙌🏾

✨ TRY THE 30-SECOND RULE

Pick up an item and ask:

💜 Do I use it?
💜 Do I need it?
💜 Do I actually like it?
💜 Does it have a designated home?
💜 Would I buy this again TODAY?

Once you have your answer, make the decision and move on. Don't put it back into the "I'll decide later” pile! 😂

🗑️ USE 4 SIMPLE OPTIONS:

KEEP → Give it a home.
DONATE → Put it directly in a donation box.
TRASH/RECYCLE→ Let it go.
ACTION → Put anything requiring follow-up in one designated spot.

⏰ SET A 10-MINUTE TIMER

You don't have to declutter an entire room. Choose ONE drawer, ONE countertop, ONE pile, or ONE small area and make as many decisions as you can in 10 minutes.

And here's a big one…

🚫 STOP MOVING CLUTTER FROM PLACE TO PLACE.

Moving something from the kitchen counter to the dining table isn't organizing it. 👀😂

Instead ask: “Where does this actually belong?”

If the answer is nowhere…maybe that's your answer.

💜 Decluttering doesn't always require hours of work. Sometimes it starts with becoming more confident in making small decisions.

Every decision you make today is one less decision—and one less piece of clutter—waiting for you tomorrow.

✨ DECIDE. RELEASE. RESET.
