Let us introduce you to another one of our Panel Guest Speakers for this month's Creative Connect. Meet Cash Hollistah - local advocate of the arts and national recording artist. He will be part of our Creative Connect panel to tell his story and answer your questions about the ups and downs of the industry.

Cash Hollistah is a nationally recognized hip-hop recording artist, poet, DJ, and community advocate from Salina, Kansas. Inspired by a high school creative writing class, he has dedicated his career to using the arts to educate, inspire, and strengthen communities. Through music, school and church outreach, and events ranging from poetry showcases and art exhibits to dance parties and community block parties, he has become a leading voice for arts and culture in central Kansas. A former member of the Kansas Music Hall of Fame Board of Directors, Hollistah received the 2026 Governor's Arts Award for Excellence in Arts Education for his lasting impact on arts education and community engagement.

Let us introduce you to some of our Panel Guest Speakers for this month's Creative Connect. Meet Julie and Robin Cates - local entrepreneurs and owners of On the Pot. They will be part of our Creative Connect panel to tell their story and answer your questions about the victories and struggles of running a small business.

A bit from the Cates sisters: We are Julie & Robin Cates. We opened On the Pot in 2002 in downtown Salina, KS. We are sisters raised in a mom and pop business. Early on, we learned how to be small business owners as we grew up in our parents’ restaurant. Julie takes care of the creative stuff, and Robin handles the business part of the business. We have been teaching classes and creating projects to share with other studios in our industry for more than 20 years. Julie creates original mixed media artwork that she sells each year at the River Festival and at a Store Named Stuff in Kansas City. She also has a successful vinyl sticker and t-shirt line. Robin aspires to write a novel and sits on countless boards for organizations in our community.
