Everyone claims they are motivated by money.
The issue is this. Are there things that motivate people MORE THAN money? Yes.
The goal is not to pay our employees less, the goal is to increase their job satisfaction, and commission based income is ineffective.
I know many will claim otherwise, but it’s not even close. All studies, ALL STUDIES show that commission or incentive based pay structures are demotivating.
