"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." Hebrews 13:17, KJV

Pastor, somebody should be watching for your soul too.

"Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety." Proverbs 11:14, KJV

Isolation is not strength. It is exposure.

"Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others." Philippians 2:4, KJV

That is the whole name in one verse. We over me.

God's correction to an overwhelmed leader was not more anointing. It was more people.

"And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone." Numbers 11:17, KJV

"Feed the flock of God which is among you, taking the oversight thereof, not by constraint, but willingly; not for filthy lucre, but of a ready mind;" 1 Peter 5:2, KJV

Willingly. Not for the money. With a ready mind. That is the standard for oversight.

"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:" Ephesians 4:11-12, KJV

The gifts were given to equip the saints, not to build a platform.

"After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;" Revelation 7:9, KJV

Heaven is already many nations. Build like it.

"That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me." John 17:21, KJV

The world believes when the church is one. That was His prayer.
