A Weekend We Won’t Forget
It all started Friday morning, July 4th, when Fred was contacted by the media to cover a flooding incident in Kerrville, Texas. They only reach out when something significant is unfolding, but it was a holiday, and like many others, we had plans. He respectfully declined, not realizing the true scale of what had happened overnight.
As the day went on, we began seeing headlines and photos online. What we initially thought was a minor flood turned out to be a catastrophic event, one that upended lives and reshaped a community in a matter of hours. The guilt settled in fast, and it stayed with us through the weekend.
Then on Sunday, they reached out again, asking if we'd reconsider going. This time, Fred didn’t hesitate. We packed up and headed to the Guadalupe River. What we saw upon arriving was overwhelming: devastation in its rawest form. It felt impossible to know where to begin.
Massive trees, some six feet in diameter, snapped and splintered like matchsticks. Pieces of mobile homes were lodged 20 feet high in the trees. The question kept haunting us: Just how high did the water get?
We spoke with locals who were still trying to process what happened. One man, who lives near the river, told us they found a body in his yard after the water receded. A young woman said, “What you see here is nothing compared to 36 hours ago. Outsiders won’t understand what we went through. Our little town died this weekend. It was swept away by Mother Nature.”
If you’re the praying kind, please send one up for Kerrville. If not, even a kind thought or positive energy helps. They need all the love and support they can get right now.

What a hectic day in downtown San Antonio! When the media needed help covering a protest, Fred didn’t hesitate. He put aside the projects we were working on and stepped up to the challenge. Moments like these are a reminder that our media family always has each other’s backs, no matter what.
Proud to be part of a team that rises to every occasion and supports each other every step of the way.

What an incredible experience being part of a fireside chat where two true captains of industry—Frost & Sullivan’s Muthuraman “Ram” Ramasamy and Honeywell’s Pramesh Maheshwari—shared their insights on AI-enabled cybersecurity solutions. Their conversation highlighted how AI is reshaping the future of industrial security and empowering workforces, not just replacing them. It was inspiring to witness these movers and shakers discuss the real-world impact of digital transformation and workforce augmentation. Grateful for the chance to shoot such a forward-thinking discussion.
