A Message from Marilyn Barker
Hi everyone,
For more than 15 years, The Women’s Business Network has been an important part of my life, and I am incredibly grateful for every woman who has been part of it along the way.
Networking has changed a lot, especially since COVID, and The WBN needs to change with it.
We are going back to basics with a focus on two things that still matter: visibility and connection.
The WBN will continue with an affordable online business directory and one virtual Connection Meeting each quarter.
Directory membership will be $13.99 per month or $99 per year, and our quarterly virtual meetings will be $5 for members and $10 for non-members.
Website will be updated Wednesday August 12th.

Business Tip for Women in Small Business:

Stop trying to be everywhere and start being clear where you are.

Your audience does not need more noise. They need to understand who you help, what problem you solve, and how they can work with you.

This week, take 20 minutes and review your website, social media bio, and latest posts. Ask yourself:

Can someone quickly tell what I do?
Can they tell who I help?
Can they tell how to take the next step?

Clarity builds confidence. Confidence builds trust. Trust builds business.

For the last 15 years, The Women’s Business Network has been something very special to us.

We have loved watching women connect, support one another, share their businesses, build friendships, and create opportunities through this community. The WBN has always been about more than just networking. It has been about women showing up for one another, cheering each other on, and being part of something bigger than themselves.

Over the years, we have also seen how much the networking world has changed.

We have tried to grow and evolve with those changes by offering more education, more resources, more opportunities, and more ways for members to be involved. And while those things were created with a lot of heart, we have also been paying attention. What we are hearing and seeing is that most women in business are not looking for something complicated.

They want connection.
They want visibility.
They want a simple place to show up, meet new people, and share what they do.

So, The WBN is going back to basics.

We are simplifying things and making membership more affordable so more women can participate, connect, and be seen.
