FREE INTERNET!

Now that I have your attention, we are seeking new tower sites in northern/central Atascosa County and southern Bexar County to expand rural internet coverage. If you are a landowner in the area and would be willing to allow us to build a tower on your property, you would receive free high speed internet access for the life of the tower and love from your rural neighbors for helping to provide a fast and reliable internet option for the area. If interested, please provide your contact info and coordinates for your potential tower site for us to determine if the site would be feasible/beneficial to use at this time. As many of you know we have recently been experiencing IP issues in relation to streaming videos on Hulu and other services. The block of IPs we were using had previously been used elsewhere and the provider information had not been updated. This confused the streaming providers which have automated systems to prevent account sharing and other misuse of their services. We should have this now resolved but it may take some time for it to actually take effect. There is nothing we can directly do about this issue other than complain to the appropriate authorities which has been done. As always we appreciate your patience.

If you live in Quail Creek, Dove Mill, South Winds, or elsewhere on FM 3175 or FM 2790 east of Lytle and are looking for a premium internet provider with no contracts or data limits, hit us up! Services are being restored as we speak. Our provider had to rush to connect us to a new route. There will be some delays as the route tables need to rebuild. We apologize for any inconvenience this outage may have caused you and will send out an update when our fiber circuit is replaced in May.

UPDATE: services are restored

Our provider is still experiencing a drop in major peering services. Some websites will not work until this issue is resolved. They have not given us an ETA on this issue and there’s nothing further we can do in the short term.

It seems that the cold weather has caused at least one of our towers to thermally contract and slightly misalign some sensitive radios. Everyone south of Smith rd. and west of Somerset is affected, currently on a slower, less sensitive backup link. The issue is being compounded by ice buildup, so it should subside when it dries up, if not then by tomorrow morning

After several hours, it appears our network has come back, though there is still an occasional drop every here and there. The issue was with our fiber provider, there was a cut in the fiber line. We have taken this as a learning experience, and are looking into solutions now to ensure this is not a problem going forward. We appreciate your patience and understanding
