Would you notice if a resident hadn't had a single visitor in eleven months?
One of the caregivers I work with did. No family listed as regular contacts, nothing flagged in any file, just a quiet gap she happened to catch while going through activity logs. So she started stopping by that resident's room during her own breaks, just to talk.
Nothing about that is in a job description. It's not something a policy can require or a training can fully teach. It's just someone deciding a person deserved to be seen, even on a day nobody was checking.
The best communities aren't defined by what's in the brochure.
