𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧:
Paid Part- time Associate Pastor of Pastoral Care and Senior Adults at FBCRM. Flexible hours to be negotiated with Pastor and the Leadership committee – with a minimum of 20 hrs required per week. Hours will include worship service attendance and participation, leadership meeting time, hospital visits, community outreach, planning and leading church fellowship activities and events, leading a discipleship group and preparation as agreed upon with the pastor.

𝐏𝐮𝐫𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐞:
The purpose of the position is to minister to the church family and to our community by focusing on pastoral care and community outreach in order to promote our church goal of “making disciples of Christ through a focus on spiritual formation,” meeting spiritual, emotional, and social needs in the body and our community by focusing on our church mission to “encourage every individual to love God, love one another, and love our community.”

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞, 𝐛𝐮𝐭 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨:
- Being a role- model of what it means to be a disciple of Christ, modeling genuine faith, spiritual disciplines, and good moral character.
- Responsible for care ministry to serve the congregation in coordination with the deacon team and for developing ministry to senior adults. Including empty nesters, retired, and shut ins. Coordinate hospital, and shut in visitation as well as member care and participate in counseling.
- Responsible for Senior Adult bible study, Senior Adult Sunday school class, increasing fellowship, equipping, and mobilizing Senior Adults to be active in the ministry.
- Aligning Senior ministry with our overall multi-generational, multiethnic church family.
- Leading Seniors into a deeper understanding of Loving God as expressed through personal and corporate worship, and Loving others as experienced in Disciple making relationships with one another.
- Establish meaningful connections and relationships with church family and neighbors in the community.
- Maintain weekly prayer list and family follow up.
- Provide preaching occasionally.

𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
Must be a committed follower of Christ demonstrating active membership in a Bible believing Church and agrees to abide by the Baptist Faith and Message 2000. Must have documented biblical education and training. Must sense a call to ministry.

Preferred Qualifications: Bible college or seminary student, seeking mentorship opportunity in ministry. or experienced or retired minister seeking part time ministry opportunity.

Compensation: $420 per week pay for part time position with Housing in parsonage on campus with utilities included.

New Hope Baptist Church

Regular services
- To pick out the congregational numbers for the regular Sunday services and get the information to those making the bulletin and/or slides - in a timely manner
- To coordinate with those playing instruments such as piano and organ, making sure they know which Sunday they will be playing and that they have all they need in a timely manner
- To vet and choose singers for musical specials
- To choose songs for the choir and lead choir practice.
-To layout the overall order of the service in coordination with the pastor

Special Events
- To plan all singing such as congregational singing and specials at special services such as funerals in coordination with both the Pastor and family, Candle Light Christmas Eve service, etc.
- To select the music for the Christmas and Easter program and spend adequate time practicing with the choir in the months prior to Christmas and Easter.
- In Coordination with the pastor to line up special concerts with outside musical groups or singers.

Music Administration
- To submit a budget request to the Finance Committee in a timely manner
- To oversee the ordering of sheet music and choral books.
- In coordination with the audio/visual committee to monitor the state of all sound equipment
- To make sure that all musical instruments of the church receive any necessary maintenance

Testimony
- To be a member in good standing with New Hope Baptist Church.
- To be considered a person of upright character.
- To be in general agreement with the church’s doctrine
