✍🏼 My book writing progress journal entry 3/21/26 - 719 words:

Making real progress on my book and it feels both grounding and energizing. I’m continuing to shape what Strategic Alignment truly means in practice, where leadership and systems come together to drive meaningful, sustainable results.

Alignment = Leadershop + Systems (how you show up and how you get the work done!)

Carving out focused time to write has always been the challenge, so I’m especially grateful for this free writing community that’s helping me protect that space and stay committed to the work.

Grateful to Anjanette “AJ” Harper and Laura Stone for creating spaces like this. Writing can feel surprisingly lonely, and having a community that shows up alongside you makes all the difference.

A mind can hold many things at once.

Ideas.
Responsibilities.
Creativity.
Questions.
Possibilities.

Today, on International Women’s Day 2026, I’m sharing a piece of mixed media art I completed today called “Frazzled.”

The curls are made of wood circles representing thoughts layered on top of one another. Some big, some small. Some clear, some still forming.

Like tree rings, they also represent experiences, growth, and the seasons that shape who we become.

The frame itself has a story too. I found it at Goodwill and repainted each piece to match the color palette. It felt fitting for this piece. Taking something good and elevating it to something even better.

What I love most about her is that despite the swirl of thoughts, her expression is calm and grounded. Because being “frazzled” does not always mean we are overwhelmed. Sometimes it simply means we are thinking deeply, creating, solving, and carrying many things with care.

In many ways, leadership can feel like this too. Holding many ideas, responsibilities, and possibilities while remaining steady and present.

Here’s to the brilliance, complexity, resilience, and creativity of women everywhere.

👩🏻‍🎨 Happy International Women’s Day!

✍🏼 Today marks Day 1 of my journey into Book Writing Mastery with the Heroic Public Speaking, and I’m officially getting started.

As a leadership strategist, keynote speaker, executive coach, and founder of People Whisperer Solutions, so much of my work has centered around helping organizations move from intention to alignment
Leadership (how you show up) + Systems (how you get the work done)

Now it’s time to translate that work into something more enduring!!

I’m stepping into this next chapter to deepen my craft, sharpen my voice, and begin building a body of work that supports leaders long after the workshop ends.

🚌 If you’re also on a journey of growth, creation, or stretching into what’s next, I invite you to follow along.

♥️ 🧠 🫱🏼‍🫲🏽 Here’s to doing the work that shapes how we show up.

Feeling incredibly grateful and blessed to serve and be a small part of the important work of the Communities In Schools of San Antonio(CISSA) team. 💙

I had the honor of serving as the keynote speaker for nearly 250 CISSA team members, where I delivered The Leadership Toolbox: Showing Up with Calm, Care, and Clarity.

I was truly impressed by CISSA’s thoughtful agenda, intentional planning, strong ex*****on, and meaningful audience engagement. It was clear how deeply this team cares about their work, their students, and one another. I loved every minute of it.

What stands out most is how CISSA’s mission shows up not just in what they do, but in how they show up for young people week after week. If you are looking for an organization doing real, grounded, life-changing work, I encourage you to learn more and consider supporting them: https://cissa.org

I am also honored to serve on the CISSA 40th Year Gala Committee. This milestone celebration is coming up, and there are wonderful opportunities to sponsor, support, or purchase a seat. If CISSA’s mission speaks to you, I invite you to be part of this special evening:

Special shout-out to Roxanna for the beautiful photos that captured the day so well 📸.

Proud to represent People Whisperer Solutions and to stand alongside leaders who bring calm, care, and clarity to work that truly matters.

My word for 2026 is Alignment.

Alignment between values and actions.
Between intention and ex*****on.
Between who you are and how you show up.

Selecting a word or phrase for the year creates focus. When done intentionally, it becomes a daily filter for decisions, habits, and priorities.

One word.
365 days.
Greater discipline, consistency, and follow-through.

What word or phrase are you choosing for 2026, and why?

📚 I’m writing a book!

Today I dove deep into the craft at the Heroic Webinar: “Write, Publish, and Market Your Perennial Bestseller: Six Critical Moves Many Authors Miss.”

I’m in full creation mode, learning, growing, and shaping a book that I want to be truly meaningful and practical. It will focus on Strategic Alignment through leadership and systems, and how we can better lead and manage people with clarity, intention, and impact.

There are no artificial deadlines here. I’m giving this journey the time and intentionality it deserves so the final result genuinely serves the people it’s meant to help.

Huge shoutout to Anjanette “AJ” Harper, HEROIC Public Speaking Partner, Book Business Thought Leader, HEROIC Grad, and Book Writing Mastery, for the wisdom and inspiration.

Stay tuned…it’s just the beginning! 🚀
