Position:
Exclusion & Attic Restoration Technician
Location:
San Antonio, Texas
Job Description
As an Exclusion Technician, you’ll be on the front lines of protecting homes and businesses from wildlife. Your role will primarily focus on exclusion work, sealing off entry points that animals like rodents, squirrels, bats, birds, and more use to invade properties. You’ll also play a key role in attic restorations and carpentry repairs: from removing and replacing insulation to fixing soffits, fascia, vents, and roofline damage. This is a hands-on position that combines wildlife removal, attic restoration, and structural repair work, making every day challenging and fulfilling.
Key Responsibilities
Wildlife Exclusion: Identify and seal entry points like soffits, vents, cracks, and gaps to prevent wildlife from entering homes and businesses.
Attic Restoration: Perform attic cleanups and restorations, including insulation removal, sanitization, and blow-in insulation installation.
Wildlife Trapping & Removal: Inspect homes, set traps, and safely remove animals like rodents, squirrels, bats, and other wildlife.
Carpentry & Repairs: Repair soffits, fascia, vents, and roofline structures using hand tools and sealant.
Roof Work: Safely work on ladders and rooftops up to 3 stories high.
Physical Endurance: Work in attics, crawl spaces, and outdoor environments.
Attention to Detail: Ensure every gap is sealed and all areas are restored properly.
Team Collaboration: Work closely with a supportive crew to provide excellent service.
Non-Negotiable Requirements
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (absolutely required).
Experience in either attic insulation removal/blow-in installation OR basic carpentry/repair work (both strongly preferred).
Applicants who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.
Additional Requirements
Comfortable working on ladders and up to 3-story roofs.
Ability to lift 50–100 lbs and work in hot/cold attic environments.
Comfortable in confined spaces.
Honesty, reliability, and strong work ethic.
Must pass background check and drug screening.
Ideal Candidate
Fearless: Not afraid of heights, attics, crawlspaces, or wildlife.
Detail-Oriented: Precision in sealing entry points and repairs is a must.
Self-Starter: Takes initiative and solves problems independently.
Strong Communicator: Basic math, writing, and customer service skills.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Valid driver’s license (clean record required).
Willingness to undergo drug and background checks.
