I don’t get too many sport theme quilt tops so when I received this one I was a little stumped on an all over design…it is for an adult so I didn’t want it to be too juvenile. This panto from called “Diamond Bias Cut” was the perfect design because it’s reminiscent of a baseball diamond field…what do you think 🧐 did I come close?

I thought I would share my progress on a restoration of a quilt I’m currently working on…this is my third restoration project I’ve attempted I’m by no means an expert…but I like a challenge and want to learn new skills since there’s not many quilters in my area that will tackle these lovely timeless treasures. So what I did first is totally deconstruct the quilt, next I took all the white sunbonnet blocks and soaked them in some restoration soap to bring back the whiteness…I then let them air dry after several rinses. Because the fabric was pretty thin I added some stabilizer and cut them down to 8.in squares, I then replace the yellow blocks and border with new yellow fabric and yellow gingham…so far so good! Let me know if any of you have worked on restoring an old favorite 🤗

It’s been a while since I posted…just needed a break from the social media overload to recup and refresh! An although I’ve been away from posting…I’ve been a busy quilting bee 🐝 here is this lovely quilt I made for a client from 5inch squares. This client gave me over 100 charm squares, each signed by friends and family for her dear friend whose a cancer survivor! She trusted me to find a quilt pattern that would showcase the squares, create it, and quilt it…this quilt really pulled at my heart strings…I believe the recipient will be over joyed from all the love ❤️ this quilt will represent and give

So today was a productive day...rain showers and quilting...a great combination.

The story for day 2 of is sewing room snacks...I enjoyed reading other post s related to this...and was surprised at how many quilter and sewists fashionistas don’t keep snacks in their space of creativity 🥳! I myself could not function without popping a gummy bear or two...or three...or twenty😜...hey that creative energy has to be fueled some kind of way...how you feed your creative soul🌟
